Unfortunately US holiday Thursday. So no beta / RC Wednesday. Hopefully beta / RC drops today or tomorrow.

Past history shows no beta / RC during US thanksgiving as @gwhizkids did the research on this.
Oh! I didn't know, I'm in another calendar, thanks bro for having warned, so let's hope they give the launch button today and not the panic button (we would give that one by leaving us all week with nothing to do):cool::cool::p

I think some of you are missing “cause” and “effect” here regarding the effect of holidays on beta releases.

Assuredly, Apple has a master calendar for the release of betas and publicly released software. The calendar for iOS 18 was probably finalized very early in 2024 (if not before).

In that calendar they accounted for everything that goes into a year of “production”: among them, the number of major releases planned during the iOS 18 lifecycle, along with expected engineering challenges, and Human Resources availability. From those inputs they developed the release dates for each beta and public release.

I know the “Tim” references are (mostly) just (increasingly bad) attempts at humor. But the sheer mystification I sense regarding the major holidays baffles me. Apple didn’t just wake up last week and realize “Gosh, Thanksgiving is almost here, we need to adjust the release calendar!” No, they’ve known about it and planned for it from the beginning. Assuming Apple follows past practice there will be no beta released this week because they never planned to release a beta this week with most employees on holiday break.

I have no interest in it coming out today or tomorrow whatever has to come out, I think that there is an established calendar (just like you) and the reference to Tim, is from respect although with a little sarcasm and putting a little humor between the information that is hung in this thread, we are not going to be mushrooms for the mere fact of being in a thread of speculation, with regard to the holidays, I am the first to respect them and that they are respected, you have to enjoy them and that's it, @gwhizkids thinks that all the comments we make have to put a little humor among the information, it is more at no time have we disqualified anyone in this thread we just try to laugh everyone with any sarcasm or funny comment!!!

Well, with an Apple Watch Beta released, maybe they will release an iOS/iPadOS beta today or this week. 👍🏻

It’s only been a few days since beta 4 came out, so I’d say next Monday for the rc.

But Tim could always push out 18.3 while he’s on his China trip.

It’s US Thanksgiving this week, so I wonder if they'll drop RC on the 2nd and official release on the 9th?
I think that it’s fairly possible that Apple could release a beta during the Thanksgiving week. I’d usually say that the chances of Apple dropping a beta during Thanksgiving week were low, but this has been a year that Apple has already changed up quite a bit with the beta release cycle. Before the iOS 18 betas, I would have said the chances of beta releases on Mondays were low. But Apple definitely seems to have changed things up this year, and they seem intent on getting betas out to push Apple Intelligence development as fast as possible, so I think there’s a better than average chance that Apple may keep the betas coming during the holidays.
