It's definitely one of his oddest predictions. Not sure what the rush is. It would make more sense to me for the RC to come next week and public 12/9. We'll have to wait and see...

Apple has done plenty of odd things lately with releases. Wouldn’t surprise me if they actually sent out RC today.

I agree, don’t see the rush to get out Beta 5 or RC today. Beta 4 has been quite stable, there’s no giant issues that I have ran into. Better to let this Beta sit for a while longer and push the next one after the Holiday so if there is a giant issue with that, they can fast track a fix.

I’ve had it at non-zero only because of Apple Intelligence. But with yesterday passing with nothing, it’s just a hairs chance now. If not today it really is zero.

The RC is essentially the release as it’s the final without any logging code that drains battery. I’m ok with the tiny risk they’ll make a small RC2. Next week isn’t too far!

Never plan on an RC2, though. If things go right there will never be an RC2.

Yeah, I think we’ll be getting an 18.2 RC next week, and maybe a first beta for 18.3? I’m excited to see what’s coming in 18.3!
