Have a look here, guys, it has been a minimum of 3 days between RC2 and public releases so far:

I don’t see why they would wait 3 days to release 18.2. I think they’re trying to get it out as soon as possible, and I don’t think there’s any need to test it for 3 or more days if all that changed with RC2 were security fixes. As I previously said, Apple releases security fixes all the time with no beta testing. I still think they’re releasing 18.2 today or tomorrow. And @gwhizkids agrees with me, which is a good sign! 👍🏻

I am not saying it cannot happen today, just giving you a historical perspective. 😉 I guess with the previous RC2 Apple were also trying to get it out as soon as possible.

Day 3, according to their counting, will be tomorrow, Wednesday, 11 Dec, but Apple are welcome to beat their previous records, of course.

RC2 actually has more than security fixes and contains various bug fixes. Zollotech has a full video on what changed in RC2

So much nothing as far as knowing what RC2 changed did other the build. At least I pointed out that Darwin kernel was a lot newer. He was reading from SDK notes you see in feedback assistance inbox. Have to wait for public release before Apple documents the security patching as usual for this point release. This update install ran a lot faster because of its smaller size compared to first RC. :)
