Hopefully public 18.2 release is a new build that addresses the remote re-appearing in the Control Center after every restart
Also, I’m wondering if iOS 18.4 is going to focus on several large improvements to Apple Intelligence with things like Siri Actions in apps and stuff, I wonder if 18.3 may improve more of the non-Apple Intelligence related things. Maybe we’ll see more options added to the new “Default Apps” section. Maybe we’ll see some improvements to AirPlay Receiver. Maybe some new Control Center Controls. If a lot of big Apple Intelligence features are coming in 18.4, perhaps 18.3 could be an opportunity to make a bunch of smaller improvements for the non-Apple Intelligence aspects of iOS 18.
Probably because even Apple's Press Release says it's "available now". I wonder if that means it'll be released at 8AM PST instead of the usual 10AM PST. They've done it before.Strange that The Verge is reporting it's out already

Aren't you already on the RC? If so, you're not going to see anything (unless the unlikely has occurred and they have updated it a build or two)
I have my iPad enrolled in the betas (perhaps somewhat irresponsible since I use my iPad as my primary computer, but all of my files are backed up, and I take all the proper precautions), my iPhone isn’t enrolled in beta updates. 👍🏻
So how wait list things works? I am using AI in iOS 18.1.1 still I have to wait? This AI are linked with Apple ID?
Not sure how it will work for the actual release version. For those of us on the beta, we did have a waiting list. For those of us who got onto it initially, the waiting list was quite long. But as time has gone by it has gotten much shorter, down to less than an hour.
However, with everybody joining today, who knows? i’d get on the list as soon as I possibly could if I were you
I didn't have to rejoin anything when I went from 18.1.1 to 18.2 RC. The second batch of AI stuff immediately started downloading after I installed 18.2 RC. Image Playground, Genmoji, Visual Intelligence, and ChatGPT were available a few minutes afterwards.
But who knows. With a lot more people upgrading today, maybe there will be a waitlist again.
For the image playground, I did have to sign up on a waitlist when I first installed the 18.2 beta. It took several days before my request was accepted.
I think it’s a higher possibility it could drop at 9:00 AM PST since they announced it so early in the day. But who knows, maybe it will drop at the usual 10:00 AM. We’ll find out soon! Either way, Apple’s confirmed it’s coming today, so it’s a great day today!!! 👍🏻

I think Non-AI models iPhones already received 18.2
My wife's iPhone 14 reports no update. And my iPhone 16 Pro Max isn't either.
It looks like it will drop at the usual 10:00 AM PST, 1:00 PM EST schedule.
I have an iPhone 13PM that prompted to install 18.2 at 7:30am MST this morning however, my iPhone 16PM still thinks 18.1.1 is the latest. Any way I can get my iPhone 16 to see the update or is this just a waiting game?

That’s got to be a first.. only some phones getting the release, additionally before 8am. Sounds like a mistake.
