Just popped up for me (UK)

I turned the beta update off and kept refreshing and going back in and it came up

what most interests me, is the eye tracking tech, if it would require the "Apple intelligence"thing or if it will run on every IOS18 device. It would be very nice to have on my ipad to quickily do things with just the eyes on a glance while I use the computer at work.

IPSW Instals

Like last year you need the Mobiledevice.pkg from the Resources folder in Xcode when you Show more content.

It's actually neither of those. It has lower requirements than Apple Intelligence but still isn't available on all iOS/iPadOS 18 devices.

The first beta usually goes a while, I think maybe even 3 weeks? And then we'll be on two week intervals until shortly before the official release when we'll then go on weekly updates.

yea, usually 2 weeks after Beta 1 (well 2 weeks an couple days as it tends to be the Wednesday or so of the 2nd week)

I’m so excited about iPadOS 18! They did it! They added the ability to pin Siri Shortcuts in the Control Center, and they added API’s for third-party developers to create their own Control Center Applets!!! This was the thing I was hoping for the most with iPadOS 18, and they delivered! 👍🏻. And I love the customization options! I’m excited to see third-party apps make use of it! 👍🏻. The macOS Menu Bar Applets are pretty much now incorporated into iOS and iPadOS! 👍🏻

I guess I‘m good in terms of hopping on the beta wagon for now.
RCS was literally the only thing that‘d get me to upgrade early and that seems to be absent from this build.

It's not available in this beta and is only for iPhone 15 Pro.
Are you sure? It was hinted that Apple Intelligence runs onboard on A17 pro chip or Apple Silicon, or on private Apple severs for other devices, presumably slower.
Maybe that isn't part of it.

Maybe it just isn’t in this first beta?

I thought that the photo background cleanup tool was in Apple “machine learning” category and not the “Apple Intelligence” category. It sounded like older devices would get machine learning but only those with enough RAM would get Apple Intelligence.

Cleanup is part of Apple Intelligence. They covered it under that section in keynote and Apple have it in their Apple Intelligence section, not iOS 18 :
