iOS 18 Speculation Thread

Seems reasonable. Public release next Monday and 18.4 b1 on Tuesday.
I’d say, 18.3 RC tomorrow and 18.4 b1 this Wednesday. 😁
It seems unlikely, as it would give users only one day to upgrade/test the RC, and prevents Apple from releasing an RC 2 if needed.
Have they done anything like this before? (Besides the concurrent 18.0 and 18.1 betas.)

Normally. But not always. See, e.g., iOS 18.1 betas.
Still no announcement regarding Black History Month so can’t see RC being today.
18.4 is still expected in April, right? Seems like it would be a long beta cycle if it is starting so soon.
Probably the oddest example for some time using Apple accounts to lockout access to first version of Apple AI seeds until I believe the second seed of 18.2 where finally a unified seeding applied to all iPhone users (qualified vs not qualified). Glad that is well behind us now.
They have to announce black history month wallpapers before releasing an RC build?
That will be aligned with public release, not RC. They usually release some new wallpapers for it…

- Updated style for summarized notifications better distinguishes them from other notifications by using italicized text as well as the glyph
- Notification summaries for News & Entertainment apps are temporarily unavailable, and users who opt-in will see them again when the feature becomes available
This update includes the following enhancements and bug fixes:
- Calculator repeats the last mathematical operation when you tap the equals sign again
- Fixes an issue where the keyboard might disappear when initiating a typed Siri request
- Resolves an issue where audio playback continues until the song ends even after closing Apple Music
