Why?

For the umpteenth time: Apple’s intent is that the Release Candidate is …. wait for it … the release candidate. They would never release it as such if they expected to have to release a second one.

Sure, occasionally they may have to because of the presence of some serious issue. But they never intend to do so from the outset.

we had one in iOS 18.2
its not a for sure thing and we might just get iOS 18.2 public release on monday then

Both 18.1 and 18.2 had different build numbers from their last respective RCs so its possible we see 18.3 released with a different build but it doesn't necessarily mean we see an RC2.

Too rushed, next week after 13.3 is public is a lot more likely.

It’s like introducing more possible 18.4 bugs versus a few days of stable RC. Enjoy it while you can.
