This reminds me of iOS 11 and the highly anticipated 'Messages in iCloud' feature. That feature kept getting delayed, delayed, and delayed. It was finally released just one week before the next WWDC. I believe it was also labeled as a beta feature for a while afterwards.

Monday is the beginning of the week,
Tuesday is shaking,
Wednesday is tangled in a sheet,
Thursday is misery,
Friday is a holy day,
Saturday and Sunday are holidays,
No more days for apples :p;):D

I wouldn't write off today even with the US holiday. It is a federal holiday or bank holiday as our friends across the pond would call it. Government offices, banks, mail are all off. But most companies are open for business today, including Apple.
Apple has never seeded on a federal holiday, so just because corporate is open has never mattered. It’s looked at as a day of partial business’s closed and not the best day to seed.

What he penned is accurate, we are only a few days from the next week. Just not Monday thats a holiday.

Enough on Gurman, Tim might as well have it Wednesday lot more visibility
Monday is Federal holiday. Apple is not a federal company so likely not affected by this.

I haven’t even considered that they could just release the first beta the same day they announce the iPhone SE. And that would make sense if the beta has references to the new iPhone that they don’t want the public to know about. I know they could just hide it from the first beta, but waiting a couple extra days is easier.

I mean, there’s a reason they release the golden master the day of Apple events in September.

Why would Apple hide 18.4 just because the beta has references to the SE? Pretty much everyone knows everything for the 16SE except verification of that product ID?

My guess is either tomorrow or Wednesday. Tomorrow could make sense to create some pre-new hardware hype. Maybe they’ll wait till Thursday, but I think that would be the latest.

I’m hoping we get 18.4 beta 1 tomorrow. I think it could make sense for some pre-new hardware hype. They could possibly drop it on Wednesday as well, but I think it’s less likely because I would think they’d want the focus to be on the new hardware.

I’d much rather a release tomorrow than on Thursday. I’m hoping we don’t have to wait that long.

These .4 and .5 updates are mostly fluff. The real update will drop in 1st week of June
Nothing I’ve seen indicates that .4 or .5 will be fluff updates this go around. 18.4 has been rumored to be quite a big update, and even with some recent rumors that some of the Siri improvements might be delayed, it would still likely incorporate several other features and improvements that could be big. Besides, while some Siri improvements might be delayed, others may not be. And considering the source, it could be that the Siri improvements haven’t been delayed at all. Perhaps they were never planned for 18.4. But one thing that is for sure is that they are promised for iOS 18, so should be coming in an iOS 18 update, and Apple will likely want to drop them before they announce iOS 19.

That said, it will be interesting to see what iOS 19 will bring to the table. It would be nice to have an iOS 19 Speculation Thread so that we can start to speculate more about it. 👍🏻
