Apple has never seeded on a federal holiday, so just because corporate is open has never mattered. It’s looked at as a day of partial business’s closed and not the best day to seed.I wouldn't write off today even with the US holiday. It is a federal holiday or bank holiday as our friends across the pond would call it. Government offices, banks, mail are all off. But most companies are open for business today, including Apple.
Monday is Federal holiday. Apple is not a federal company so likely not affected by this. What he penned is accurate, we are only a few days from the next week. Just not Monday thats a holiday.
Enough on Gurman, Tim might as well have it Wednesday lot more visibility
Why would Apple hide 18.4 just because the beta has references to the SE? Pretty much everyone knows everything for the 16SE except verification of that product ID?I haven’t even considered that they could just release the first beta the same day they announce the iPhone SE. And that would make sense if the beta has references to the new iPhone that they don’t want the public to know about. I know they could just hide it from the first beta, but waiting a couple extra days is easier.
I mean, there’s a reason they release the golden master the day of Apple events in September.
Nothing I’ve seen indicates that .4 or .5 will be fluff updates this go around. 18.4 has been rumored to be quite a big update, and even with some recent rumors that some of the Siri improvements might be delayed, it would still likely incorporate several other features and improvements that could be big. Besides, while some Siri improvements might be delayed, others may not be. And considering the source, it could be that the Siri improvements haven’t been delayed at all. Perhaps they were never planned for 18.4. But one thing that is for sure is that they are promised for iOS 18, so should be coming in an iOS 18 update, and Apple will likely want to drop them before they announce iOS 19.These .4 and .5 updates are mostly fluff. The real update will drop in 1st week of June
We Americans apparently celebrate President’s Day by buying mattresses and furniture…I don't think there's anything political saying there is nothing to celebrate. How would one celebrate? Is there a customary meal to prepare? Greeting cards to exchange? Maybe an evening prayer to light some candles to?
iOS 18 in a nutshellI am ready to be disappointed!
