It might be because the OS language can't be different from the language chosen for Siri.
I hope I'm wrong because I like to keep my iPhone in English and have Siri in Italian 🥲
just got feedback on my submission ...

"At this time, Apple Intelligence requires that both the device language and Siri language be set to the same supported language. Thank you for sharing feedback about how you use your device with different languages selected."

Can someone confirm:

set to German/ German.
- writing Tools work not only on text written in German but on English text too…

That’s what it made from the text above
using ‘create bullet points’…

  • Confirm the following:
  • Siri is set to German/German.
  • Writing tools work on both German and English text.
Nice

So far iPadOS 18.4 beta 1 is running very smooth on my iPad. I haven’t run into any bugs yet. I am not beta testing iOS on my iPhone, but it should be pretty similar.
How's the new Siri though? Isn't that the biggest feature of 18.4? Where siri can "see" and analyze whats on your screen. That was hyped as the big feature that Apple Intelligence was missing and was going to arrive in 18.4

That isn’t here yet, but may come in a future 18.4 beta, or be possibly delayed for 18.5. 👍🏻

All that the last couple of weeks and you’ve not put it on your phone 😆🤣
I mean, I have nothing against it, but I’m using an iPhone 12, so battery life could potentially be a concern. I know someone who runs the betas on his iPhone and doesn’t have issues, I just originally didn’t want to risk it causing major bugs with my phone to where I wouldn’t receive calls or anything. I’m not as worried about that aspect anymore, but battery runtime could be a concern since my 12’s battery is around 85% capacity. 👍🏻

Right?? And seeing as though we got it on a Friday, I bet we don't see 18.4b2 until March 3rd or 4th 😆
Wow, March 3rd or 4th is sooner than I was expecting, I’m projecting about a 2 week gap to the 10th-13th. But sooner would be nice! 👍🏻

So the most exciting feature of 18.4 which was the new Siri that could see your screen is missing and will not arrive in the final build of 18.4. Yikes. The only thing to look forward to in 18.4 at his point is the visual intelligence for us iPhone 15 pro users, nothing else.

Considering the “rumor” that this was supposed to have come out on Tuesday, that lines up with a 2 week gap for b1

I received that, too. In my case, all three languages (English US, English UK and Italian) are supported in Apple Intelligence. For example, the only combination that works with Italian Region is English UK. Seems odd that English US doesn't.

iOS 17.4 and 16.4 stayed approximately 40-45 days in beta. So it wouldn’t surprise me at all if 18.4 is released in early April, maybe the 7th. Considering the new features on 18.4 are minimal, I don’t expect more than 4 betas, just like the last 2 years. 15.4 had 5, so maybe we’ll get 5 betas.
