I believe you’re correct. So far, I have zero issues. Two pleasant surprises that I didn’t expect are:
- Apple Maps is greatly improved on directions and picking the fastest route in respect to avoiding traffic.

- RF signal seems to be better as I now have signal in a few spot that were marginal or didn’t have signal previously. Maybe T-mobile updated their towers but I doubt it.
