Hope they focus on fixing battery life !
Battery life is the best it's ever been for me. In fact, I feel like they've resolved some longstanding performance and battery drain issues I've always had.

This is release is not without some bugs however. I've had music playback stop a few times, one UI respring and a few others, but much more bug free than previous betas and releases.

I've seen this several times. I do something that requires the keyboard, and the keyboard refuses to go away. I've seen it several times, but haven't really noticed what triggers it. Curious if any of y'all have seen that?

The only way that I've found to clear the keyboard is a hard reboot. Issue reported this morning.

Note: Don't judge my music. Was in the car with my wife - ladies' choice. :D

Last time I tried the new alarm for urgent reminders it made no additional sound than the standard reminder notification.
Anyone got it to work in Beta 2?
The Feedback Assistant says "less than 10" similar reports so It's not just me.
Anyone got it to sound an alarm for the new Urgent reminder setting?

It works fine for me (iOS only, the feature hasn't been put into MacOS yet afaik).

At the correct time, the alarm sounds and the options to snooze and turn off appear full screen - just like a timer or alarm.

When I swipe to turn off, the reminder pops up and I can reschedule or click to mark the reminder as completed.

However, the fact it's not available in MacOS might mean they've not finished working on it, so hopefully it gets fixed for you next beta.

I had my first issue with 26.2 b2 in CarPlay this weekend. The physical forward and back buttons on my 2025 Subaru Outback won’t work with podcasts or music. They’ve always worked with every other version. The buttons on the screen still work but it just ignores the physical buttons completely. Frustrating because I like fast forwarding through ads in podcasts.

The lag issue between the widgets page and the home page has not gone away.

I want to install on my Air but keep hearing about so many crashes in this beta when tapping the elipsis menus across the OS.

Since Beta 1 I lost the ability to skip tracks in CarPlay using the steering wheel controls. I thought Beta 12 was going to fix it but not yet...

I have the beta on my old iPhone 11. I’ve turned on the correct settings in the Reminders section of the Settings app but, despite that, I don’t have the Urgent option to choose from when creating a reminder.

SMS messages without reply box not forwarding from iPhone

SMS messages received on iPhone which do not show reply text box in Messages app, do not get synced or forwarded from iPhone to macBook.

All SMS messages received on the iPhone get forwarded from the iPhone to the macOS device instantaneously, except those SMS messages received on the iPhone, which appear as a one-way communication and do not show text box for sending a reply in the Messages app.

This non-forwarding of certain SMS messages from the iPhone to the macOS device is not expected.

It could be a new feature although, if it were, I would expect it to be documented in the release notes.

I'm on public beta 2 with a 13 Mini.

Works fine, some lags here and there but in overall the performance is really good. Still got a problem with no artwork after a sync with Music (form Sequioa).

Battery life is good, still not the same as those iOS 18 times but better than 26.1.

Still can't stand with the UI and I don't if I will like it
