do NOT install beta 2.
new 17 Pro Max - nonstop errors and crashes.
- quick-change cellular/SIM for data - full respring
- News app three button upper-right - app crash
and many, many other problems.

Apple QA has been outsourced to a boiler room.
(I'm waiting for the first obnoxious reply "mine is fine - no errors" so I can respond)
It’s a beta 2, it’s supposed to have bugs. It’s unfinished software - it’s not supposed to be able to pass QA tests. Wake up McFly.

iOS 26.2 beta 2 has added another new problem to my iPhone 12 Pro. Now when I attempt to long press the Home screen and select Edit everything crashes and it reboots back to the Lock Screen. The issues just keep stacking up for me on iOS 26 with nothing getting resolved. It's hard to believe we are at 26.2 with all of these basic issues still in the operating system. I wish I had a path back to iOS 18.
It’s anything with a popup or context/3 dots menu, it crashes whatever you’re in. Can confirm same home screen edit button crash. Even a dropdown on a website crashes safari.

No Stutter anymore from widget to home screen on iPhone air. Afraid to install on my ip15pm as this is my daily driver

Thanks for the additional information and confirming the crashes I have been having. It's much appreciated.

I do not have this issue. When you say “ALL Apple Apps..” which ones did you specifically check? I checked Mail, Photos, Files & Notes before I stopped checking..

Out of curiosity.. how do you update? IPSW or OTA? Do you have your display zoomed or standard? Which “flavor” of Liquid Glass are you using (Default, Dark, Clear, Tinted)

iPhone 12 Pro. Here are the main issues I currently have with iOS 26 beta 2. Some of these issues were present in the iOS 26 Public Launce Release and have carried over into the iOS 26.2 betas.
1) App Library locks up for a couple of seconds when swiping down.
2) Photo App - I cannot reorder the Collections
3) Long press on Home Screen, select Edit, iPhone crashes and resets to Lock Screen.
4) Long press Wi-Fi in Control Center, iPhone crashes and resets to Lock Screen.
5) Feedback app crashes when I try to use it to report a problem.
6) Safari crashes when I touch the 3 dot icon in the bottom right corner.

So far I have not been impressed with iOS26. iOS 26 has been out for 2 months and still has many major bugs that are not resolved. It's hard to believe that this poor of a product really came out from Apple.
I have none of the issues you list on my 17 Pro Max. Have you tried wiping your device clean, loading a fresh image (from an IPSW if you have a Mac), and then restoring your data?

With that many system issues it’s a fair presumption to make that your install is corrupted somewhere and installing updates on top of it will probably only make it worse.

For my own part, I have been fairly impressed with iOS 26, even when I was running the early betas on my 16 Pro Max. A glitch here and there, sure, but nothing even close to what you are experiencing.

Already installed beta 2 on my 17 pro max and not having any of the issues you mention (not even the app crash when pressing the ellipses) Maybe you should wipe it clean and do a fresh install or revert back to the backup you made prior to upgrading to beta 2.

EDIT: Seems to be due to a couple of settings people enabled previously because they didn’t like the overall look/feel of Liquid Glass. (That’s an important thing to mention when ranting about the sky falling.) So you have a temp fix until the next beta and hopefully it gets adjusted (if you put that info in the feedback so they can focus on that.)

As far as Apple’s QA… you realize that we (dutiful users of these betas) are Apple’s lab rats, right? We use the BETA software, hopefully find all the weird issues like this one, file meaningful feedback and if it’s a widespread issue, or easy enough to resolve, they fix it in a future beta. Unless the planets are in alignment, a beta is never going to be perfect and will often introduce issues that weren’t present in the previous beta.

It surprises me that so many people seem to lose sight of that in these comments.

EDIT: Turned off all changes, still crashing first- and third-party apps with three-dot menu; and changing cellular data in command center throws a respring back to login.

EDIT2: Cross-Fade (Reduce Motion) is the culprit.

So the solution here is to turn off “tinted” or whatever stop gap to reduce glass?

The crashes all across the UI are not insignificant.

B1 is more stable for me; only issue is I can’t add music since Apple Music has a token which indicates the latest version you’re on, and renders prior versions invalid.
