Cannot reproduce that one here. I had it in some 26.0 betas but it's been fixed since 26.0 (final) for me and never came back.
Hmm. I've heard of others having this issue, but it's odd that yours got fixed and mine didn't.

My icons which control individual Hue bulbs work until a reboot (i.e. a proper reboot, not just the restart a beta install does).

They just show the generic Home icon, although editing it shows it's still configured for the correct bulb. However, I need to change the config, save the change, and then change it back to what it should be, before it works (until the next reboot).

Glaring visual-artifact-ellipsis-button issue when using Prefer Cross-Fade Transitions (Accessibility setting under Reduce Motion) somehow made it in...general software quality, and not just Apple's, has truly gone to the dogs

At first I wanted to like 26 and tried to give it a chance but here we are at the 26.2 release candidate and ***** like this is still popping up and it seems like Apple knows not what it's doing 🤷
Care to explain what is wrong with this?

Seraching in Settings for Apps or Setings is working again... was not workin on 1/2 of my ipAirs. reported it 2 days agao! nice Apple!

More than likely this is the final build.
This already happened in version 26.1; they released the Release Candidate labeled as beta without a changelog, and the following week when they released the final version, it was a different build and came with the version changelog. It seems they'll repeat the same thing in 26.2.

Could be, you never know. That’s what a RC is, a candidate for the final release but it’s not 100% guaranteed that the final one won’t be a couple of builds higher.

It’s been explained many times in recent beta threads since they “updated” the gaudy and frankly dumb ellipsis button animation which now clashes with those us of who use Prefer Cross-Fade Transitions under Settings > Accessiblity > Motion> Reduce Motion

Attached is the more-detailed bug report I filed, not that you really care :)

Hopefully this fixes the CarPlay issues I've been having. When connected, CarPlay reboots by Car Stereo head unit every 45 or so seconds.. Not good!

This fixed CarPlay with Alpine ILX-W650 - it now connects again, right away too.

Mind you Apple doesn’t get points for fixing what they broke!

Did this solve the crackling sound on the speaker when an iPhone 17 Pro Max is connected via ISB for charging?

I haven’t encountered this. My 17 pro max is always connected by usb for charging.

Pictures received in messages and then saved to photos have the “save” icon come right back to save again. Numerous saves, restarts and deletes of duplicate pics finally seems to have stopped its reoccurrence. Pics were from an android phone.

Until now, Release Candidate (RC) versions were rarely labeled as betas and included the typical beta changelog. They usually came out as if they were stable versions, with the version's changelog. But this wasn't the case with 26.1, and it seems that 26.2 might repeat the same pattern. It remains to be seen whether this behavior will stick, or if it's just because Apple believed it needed more time to finalize these two versions.

Closing App Library on iPad still causes all the folders to collapse and overlap into one big stack in the top left that continues onto the top-right of the last page of the Home Screen.

The stack continuing onto the Home Screen is definitely broken but I suspect the whole transition animation isn’t the intended behaviour.

SO FAR CarPlay appears to be working again. It was slow to load the first time, but after subsequent unpluggings, repluggings, and even turning off my vehicle, it was working.

I specifically did those things because CarPlay worked once after B3 and that was it.

As of the RC, I'm going to hop off the beta train. I think iOS 26.2 is now decent as a daily so happy to wait until the next final release, whatever it is.

Yeah my battery wasn't its very best on beta 3 either. I'm hoping it's a little improved in the RC.

The ‘More Details’ for both iOS RC and iPadOS RC suggest these aren’t the final builds releasing next week.

Feels no different than 26.1 the ui lag on iPad Pro m4 is still so bad, Apple it’s been months, this should be smooth at this point
Might be worth doing a reset all settings. Did that on my 17 PM and iPad Pro M5 on 26.1, and I have had no lag. Couple visual bugs but nothing that actually impacts my usage. Installing 26.2 as we speak.
