In Settings > Sounds & Haptics…Late Night Mode a renaming/relocation of Late Night EQ setting?

The new windowing system in iPadOS disables the “four finger swipe to go to the previous app”. I guess it makes sense, but I hadn’t noticed how much I use that gesture until now. Maybe once every two minutes 😅

Installed the beta - bricked device - stuck on low battery screen, battery was at 60% when started the update but had plugged in. Force restart not working - device not being found by computer when plugged in.
Does your phone have a replacement battery? Some posts above from people with third-party batteries are saying it drops to saying only 1% left, and won't boot. If so, it's restore-to-18 time.

Getting some definite lag/dropped frames with Adaptive Power enabled, but I think that’s the point so I don’t really mind. Also for a dev beta 1 with an even larger visual overhaul than that of iOS 7 performance seems quite outstanding.

has potential, but will def need a lot of tweaks between now and fall. Running laggy and super hot. Hoping it gets better after index. No crashes yet.
And if we use iOS 7 as a barometer, it will take Apple years to implement those tweaks.

We still have issues that resulted because of the iOS 7 redesign which still haven’t been addressed such as - switch to a light colored wallpaper and watch the carrier, signal strength, battery percentage, etc. status icons (at the top of the screen) virtually disappear because they stay white!

Anyone notice Safari seems to hide the home bar? I wonder if this is a bug or if developers will have this option more often.

Edit: nevermind. Definitely a bug. Now my home bar is missing system-wide.

Any clue what this actually does?
Seems to apply Late Night EQ settings/filter.

From settingslab.com:
Late Night: Late Night might sound like a smooth setting for dreamy notes. However, this setting tends to be one of the loudest eq settings on the iPhone. With this iPhone Eq setting, the quiet parts of the music are emphasized while the loud parts are dropped.

Does Late Night EQ make Music Louder?

Yes, the Late Night EQ setting makes music louder on the iPhone. But instead of working on the speakers alone, the setting also extends to the Airpods.

Just got done updating. Phone is insanely hot still. Lag on all animations is brutal too. I'm assuming that it will index and run better tomorrow. No panic yet. Not sure how I feel about the look. Love all the search bars being moved to the bottom.

I’m going to reserve judgement for now regarding performance because, I know, “it’s a beta”. But it’s feeling a bit like iOS 7 did at the time. Nowhere as bad, nothing will be worse than that. But sluggiest beta in a while.

Noticed something new in the camera app, not sure if it’s been in a while and I’ve just never seen it before or if it’s a genuinely new feature.

When I opened the camera app to have a little look after installing, I had a warning at the top of the camera preview telling me to clean my back camera and it went away after wiping the lens on my t-shirt so it seems to be working.

Most of the time I’m all for new things but the control center looks just awful.
I don’t mind that but it doesn’t look like there’s anything in the background. Not sure how it would look with an actual background photo.

It was the same here, it does get better. But there are a lot of visual glitches and stuff I’m seeing.
