New mixing options replace the standard crossfade option in Apple Music. When mixing a new animation appears below the scrubbing bar.
Hmm. I haven’t been able to get it to work. It’s enabled in settings. Things just auto cross fade still.

It seems my iPhone 15 Pro Max is struggling to keep up with the animation.. looks it it would waste so much battery on this new useless animation and effects..

It’s gonna be interesting to see how much performance will be lost for the sake of a pretty new UI. I do like the new UI but I don’t want to sacrifice battery life and performance just for things to look prettier.

The chips in these devices are so powerful nowadays, it really isn't an issue anymore. What people are experiencing is general beta bloat and unoptimized functionality. Ontop of that, the excessive battery drain people experience (and potentially will experience come launch day) is most likely not tied to any glassy UI effect, but the overall new additions to the OS that run in the background.

But yes, stuff like dynamic backgrounds will potentially rip your battery a new one if they're constantly running. I wouldn't worry about liquid glass UI being a battery hog though (we're no longer in the iOS 7 early days of apple silicone).

On my Lock Screen my widget is stuck on the bottom ? It used to be under my clock on top ? I tried to delete and re add but it’s still on the bottom and not the top. Any tips or tricks ?

So far I have seen more reports of IPSWs not working, and nobody has confirmed that they are working so I have to assume that the IPSWs and/or any methods of installing them are broken

The one thing I’m happy about is going from 50GB system data to 1.5 GB lol 😂. I was running low on space before and now I feel good , nice and fresh . I updated OTA, and reset the phone and restored from iCloud . Feels like a new phone for sure . iPhone 15 pro max 256 GB

Have you followed the instructions in the start of post?

How to install using a Mac?
  1. You’ll need the Xcode beta itself or a MobileDevice.pkg somebody extracted from the beta (click with two fingers or control-click), then choose Show Package Contents. Go to Contents/Resources/Packages. - this will work on older Macs that do not support the latest macOS or Xcode betas)
  2. Back up to your Mac or to iCloud in case you need to go back to another version
  3. Hold down Option, then click on ‘Check for Update’/‘Restore iPhone...’ and select the IPSW file you downloaded from the Apple Developer site. Note: You must be connected to the internet to complete the restore.
  4. Enter your iPhone passcode if you’re prompted to do so.

Update: phone did get hot a bit outside. using the beta on a secondary 14 pro with 79% BH
surprisingly battery lasted 4.5 hours before going to 20% started at a 100% ( which I think is a normal Drain at 79% battery health on a 3 year old device)
