I know. You can remove every card there but your Apple Card. Once you have one, it's always there. No edit button. Removing it from Wallet doesn't help. I never use this card, but Apple really wants me to.
Ah ok sorry! Didn’t realise it was treated differently. We don’t have Apple Card in the UK

So much for transparency on the home screen. I really don't like the liquid glass on my folders, my widgets, and in the dock. That's not transparency, when white lines show around the edges. It looks ok on the Notification Center, but not on the home screen. It's messed up my wallpapers.

Took my iPhone 14 Pro from about 80% battery to 1% on restart after install. Plugged it in and while the battery indicator showed charging, it didn't. Just finished a restore to 18.5. Bummer, have never had this bad of an experience with a first beta before, pucker factor was quite high for a while.
Have you had a third party battery replacement? This seems to be a common bug right now for those in this scenario.

Opinions are one thing, but the hyperbole around here is hilarious… saw someone say they were ‘queasy’ trying to read something yesterday. Sheesh.

I’m always (every_year.EXE) amazed at people who will see the keynote, SEE some glaring issues present there, STILL run out and install the first Dev beta (sometimes on their primary/only devices), see the SAME issues… and come here and be flabbergasted. 😂

Aside from rethinking the whole ‘glass’ concept altogether, I feel that a simple translucency/opacity slider for specific elements (e.g., Control Center) would do wonders - I’d be shocked if something along those lines isn’t offered.

There are the occasional graphical overlaps, definitely stuttering, Mail hiccups… I haven’t run into any showstoppers for my particular use case. iPadOS was definitely the bigger swing this year - it’s a great first attempt; still rough around the edges a bit with the windowing, resizing, tiling, etc. with or without a keyboard/trackpad.

FOR THOSE OF YOU NEW TO THIS, A WARNING: Betas 2-4 are many times waaaaaaaay worse than the b1, while Apple incorporates feedback and “plays with the switches a bit” on different features. It will likely get worse for awhile. Their goal isn’t to have it perfect in June or July - it’s to have a solid OS available for the billions of eligible devices by September. If that doesn’t work for you, or you’re using your daily device that you rely on for communication or (yikes) work - or you get so viscerally angry at design choices (good/bad) that you may actually vomit 🙄 - you might want to sit these first few rounds out and wait for the Public betas. Just a thought. 🤝🏾✌🏾

Is the time size on lockscreen automatically changing sizes for anyone?

Curious how much longer my 16PM will stay at 100% health with this blistering beta 1.

Things running fairly smoothly this morning.
- keyboard not lagging like 18.5 (occasionally)
- love the new layout of the keyboard
- Liquid Glass is hit or miss but mostly hit for me
- new animations are so good!
- battery life struggling as expected, but not as bad as yesterday
- hate that they made homescreen icons even larger. I wish they would’ve instead made better use of the empty space and added an extra row!

I never used an official wallpaper, it's on the bottom of the screen on any of my existing non-apple lockscreens as well. can't bring them to the top no matter what I try
I’ve noticed it has to do with size of the time section. If you expand it at all, widgets get shoved to the bottom, but if it’s made small it jumps back to the top (even on the new official wallpaper

Adaptive Power is not yet properly implemented and may sometimes stop Home Screen from rendering properly. Experienced that on a 16 Plus.
