iOS 26 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I feel it got changed system wide as the change was made in the material element. Now the bottom UI of Mail or Safari looks like dirty smudged glass instead of just cleaned and polished.
So far overall a good improvement. Phone is running way cooler than before during regular usage. Liquid glass effects and animations seem to be more optimised and not as crazy demanding as in DB1.
AssistiveTouch broke. Slider opacity works in accessibility settings, but doesn’t save it once out on the Home Screen. Stays bright white circle. Was working in beta 1.
An unknown caller called my phone it’s annoying I want Apple to address this issue it was in iOS 26.
Rough update. Running iPhone 16 pro and it’s always running warm. Seems like contact posters in phone app are all broken. Shows up as missing assets.
Seems like some cloud service is broken and those images are not pulled. Maybe that is contributing to the heat.
Keyboard also seems to have an issue because every time I type now B, N are constantly being pressed instead of space bar. Almost like the mapping of the keyboard is a little bit off.
I understand this is beta so I’m not complaining, but just saying what I’m experiencing.
Also, the phone overall feels very laggy I’ve tried killing all the apps resetting restarting, but the lag comes back shortly.

Carplay on my 2022 Escalade only shows 1 widget now instead of 2 on b1 and the phone doesn't automatically change the sound to play through the car speakers, you have to manually change that even though carplay is active. also when you turn off the car the phone still thinks you're connected and have to change the audio back to iphone. These are new issues in b2.
Mine went from 3 stacks to 2 stacks. Odd look.
Battery app shows Phone app using most battery by being on screen. 0 background usage. Weird, must be the contact posters are trying to pull down but fail. Just speculating.

I skipped Beta 1 and downloaded Beta 2 yesterday. I set up Carplay and couldn't figure out why I could only get one widget to appear on the widget page when I have five selected in the Carplay settings on my iPhone.
The same thing happens to me. I've tried several settings, but nothing seems to fix it. I'll have to disable it until they release beta 3 and fix it, because it's very intrusive now.

I was in the bath and trying to send my friend a voice message and decided to use Siri for it. I recorded a 90 second or so length voice message Siri only sent about 15 seconds of it.
I tried again, and it did the same thing, completely cutting off and deleting the rest of my message.
To add insult to injury my HomePod three rooms away from my bathroom picked up the request and is now in a loop of “send it?” over and over again.

Hey folks - I’m reading a lot of reports of “cold iPhones” with this b2 - but… my iP16PM is getting pretty warm, specially charging during the night. During the day, it has its moments where it gets pretty hot - but I couldn’t identify any special situation… any one with the same issue?
There is no working/ non-working apps topic so far. Does that mean they are all working as suposed to?
It should indicate what language your keyboard is set to.
It wasn't there in the B1. I've only noticed in in B2. I am using the English (US) keyboard so what does the 'A' mean lol? I really hope that goes away as I don't like it.
Mine also runs warm or hot during the day and after two restarts it’s the same, b1 revised was great and cold, this one even took 1% of my battery health when I installed, had to remove the phone from the case and put it near the ac vent to get to a decent temperature.
I noticed my keyboard sounds and haptics were different when I updated to ios26. It was mainly on apple apps such as mail, safari, and messages. I updated to beta 2 yesterday and continued to have the newer sounds and haptic until this afternoon when it defaulted back to the ios18 sound. Anyone else notice or have this issue?
