iOS 26 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I have installed developer betas in the past on my iPhone 12 pro max. But IOS 26 beta 1 & 2 are not fairing well on my phone.
1. I have been having performance issues when scrolling apps or in my contacts my phone freezes.
2. I have been getting coloured visual glitches on my phone end key & while rotating my phone during a video.
3. Phone restarts sometimes when accessing the Apple TV app.
4. My dock icons can longer be moved and staying to the left since i installed beta 2.
Curious anyone here testing ios26 on a 12 pro max.

Your issue #4 is a DB2 specific bug, affecting all of us.
Looking at the dock on your image I can also notice that [at least] large icons are not really well aligned in it (see the different padding at the top and bottom, as well as the Phone icon almost pushing out of the Dock). Apple still have a lot of tweaking to do…
This works for me also in that way for page forward with DB2
Found one that is irritating... Wired CarPlay. When arriving home and the garage door button pops up, it is not tappable. It correctly indicates whether it is opened or closed, and even updates the status when I use the physical remote, but the CarPlay screen button doesn't do anything.
Installed it on my main iPhone 16 pro max , updated from the iOS 18.6 beta .
So far so good , phone definitely hot to touch as it’s probably processing stuff in the background .
Having used it for a couple moments the UI is definitely a lot cleaner and fresher than iOS 18 .
Few bits to be worked out in some areas for readability but apart from that great update

I wish I could turn off the liquid glass effect in iOS 26 somehow. I personally find it horrible to use.
Reducing transparency won’t do the job. One can only pray they will add an option to use the iOS 18 design again. That liquid design is quite controversial.
Other than that, everything runs fine in beta 2 seemingly.

Weird, ran into exactly the same thing yesterday, but I'm still on 18.5...
First time this happened to me in the last 4+ years 🤷♂️
They will just make it less and less transparent during the betas to appeal to the people that don’t like it
. I wish they could add an option to choose the level of frosted glass, like how you can choose how sensitive Haptic Touch is.
Personally I really like Liquid Glass and it’s first iteration in beta 1, besides the control center that actually needed tweaks.
i take screenshot a lot of times in a day using assistive touch… idk how does other take screenshots???

For now, maybe not, but in September when they release it to the general public, I wouldn't be surprised if there were a lot of complaints and they might be forced to backtrack on some things. For now, what I see is that they need to speed up the animations; they're very slow. There are more of them, and on top of that, they've added an extra step to some tasks, and with such slow animations, I feel like the iPhone is even slow at times.
This is all I could get translating using indonesian think it was... no idea how it's taken over Safari.

Interesting. Time for me to do a test when going home later today. My work iPhone is on iOS 18.5. I will try using CarPlay from that phone and see if it works.
Since you saw it on iOS 18.5... Have you updated your home hub to 26? Starting to wonder if it because my AppleTV is on tvOS 26b2.
Not sure if it's related to the new Games app, but some of my Apple Arcade games have lost their progress/settings. The "achievements" remain, but the scores and progress are gone (across Mac and iPhone).
I think is the Apple Park address, Reddit says that it was also present in the previous icon but just on Mac.
Reduce transparency actually makes my address bar in Safari… transparent. Filed a report.
