Do the notification bubbles (on the Lock Screen), and maybe the shape of the dock as well, seem to have gone back to iOS 18's shape? They look a little more rectangular and a little less... bubbly?

There are some subtle design tweaks - the keyboard looks less cramped (in Beta 1 it was pushing all the way to the screen), Safari text blur at the top and bottom of websites is less annoying now and Control Centre is way more visible now.
However, performance-wise I agree, it might actually be worse than Beta 1, as my test iPhone 11 feels both slower and hotter with it. For example, the animation bringing all app icons towards the Home Screen (sliding effect) is way slower now than in Beta 1. Well, let’s see how it evolves in the next beta, which could also become the first public beta.

Since updating my watch app keeps crashing so can’t update my watch from it will have to try direct on the watch.
Wait for the next beta, as this one is still undercooked. 😋
I have been on the "attempting data recovery" white screen for about half an hour already

On iPad when editing the lockscreen widgets on the right no longer show.
On iPhone in the mail app when you try to get the swipe action in the message list they work for a little bit but then stop working.
New features
On iPad mini (and I presume the base iPad) you can now add a multitasking control to control centre.
You can now move your post between journals in the journal app on iPhone (it was broken in beta 1).
Reminders now has a new list button on the toolbar.
The UI bug in Safari seems to be fixed when the UI changes between light and dark mode.

well i don't want to interrupt the progress bar while it's still moving, my concern is how long it is taking, as well as the fact that nobody else mentions that they were presented with this screen or not upon installation. I did the install from the IPSW to begin with. as of now I am just waiting
First thing I noticed. The beta 1 version is so much better - I've wanted them to add padding like that for years. Now its back to the old one... 😫
