Changing your lock screen wallpaper affects the tint of your home screen icons.

I mean, those sliders and options look the same to me, yet one set of icons has a nice blue tint and the other is mostly gray still.

One lock screen has a converted to spatial wallpaper, the other has the depth effect (if that matters).

It looks like you have different options selected at the bottom (dark vs auto).

Solid black wallpaper with dark icons is the only way to make liquid glass look decent. I loved light icons in dark mode on iOS 18, but they screwed up the grays in Settings, Calculator, and Camera... all look hideous as light icons.

I get a white and/or black screen when using visual Intelligence on an iPhone 15 pro max when clicking an item to look at.

I had this in beta 2 but it ended up fixing itself. Except it wouldn’t save location for any of my apps

Just installed ios26 beta 5 last night and seems like NordVPN doesn’t work??
Anyone having issues??, won’t connect keeps putting me to the vpn configuration screen on my iPhone 16 pro and when I click into that sub menu, it’s blank.
Spent over an hr on their live chat but no solution as of yet.
Would like if anyone else is having issues. I have the plus plan as part of my Revolut metal plan so just recently joined up today.

Going back to IOS 18.6, just too many stutters on 16 pro.

Sad to hear this. I was hoping PB 2 would resolve the worst of it on my iPad but I expect much of the same then and will begin rolling back right now. Too many people agree with you and this is precisely the issues I experience too in PB 1.

I haven’t complained because I’m pretty used to betas, but this one is pretty abnormal in this department of battery use, heat, and stutters basically everywhere for me. I might even have to await initial reviews of the GM at this point. It’s too bad, because otherwise it has been surprisingly solid for me despite all the changes.

If you set up 2 widgets of FindMy each for a different person it will show the same person in both widgets and whatever you do both returns to show the same person in each widget….this bug is on both macos and ios beta 5

I use a different VPN but it works with the new update. Wonder if it's Nord specific?

Is anyone having connectivity issues with this beta? Installed fresh from IPSW yesterday having run it another device and cellular is terrible.

Doesn’t respond for a long time and then splutters to life.

First thing I noticed is Mail now have the select separated from the menu

This is a nice change. On iPadOS 26 beta 5, the select is still in the … menu and sometimes that menu doesn’t show at all. I am finding myself needing to use the new pull down menu to get select and select all.

Installed yesterday and battery life is improved and the stuttering effect when scrolling is mostly gone. 🤙🏻

Do you have Apple Intelligence enabled? The package seems to be larger when it is enabled.
Around 5Gb for me from beta 4 to 5 on iPhone 16 Pro.

I have AI enabled before the update and was less than 2GB coming from PB1. iOS seems to be running well, a few minor cosmetic bugs but overall it’s working well. No issues with my main apps so far.

I jumped on beta train with this B5 and I feel the same on my 15PM. It’s smooth but there are some frame drops in animations. I am very sensitive to stuttering so they bother me a lot.

Otherwise is running solid.

Will think about downgrading to 18.6

Try and hold out for another week. My guess we will be on a one week release soon. I’ve seen some people turn on Reduce Motion to smooth things out.

Settings - Accessibility- Motion - Reduce Motion.

Hope that helps in the meantime. I personally don’t like the flying out icons every time I open my phone and think that and other animations are slowing down the phone and killing the battery. Gotta love beta testing. Here’s to the next one!

Jump on the Dev train today. Other than some light stuttering with swipes and opening apps, most everything seems to be working fine. Still getting use to the new Phone app and visual voicemail not having it's own section...🤔

Tap the icon in the top right corner, then switch to Classic view. Voicemail will be back in its own tab where it belongs 😆

Anyone else getting lots of private relay offline alerts. Only started noticing them in the last few hours at least 3 I’ve seen where private relay is offline then shortly after it reconnects. Not sure if anything to do with this beta or coincidence.

By clicking frantically on UI elements in the half second window between launching and crashing, I managed to escape the crash loop. It turns out Sidebar > Pinned > Media Types being expanded causes the app to crash for me. Collapsing it stabilized things.

Thank you. Now that you mention it, it was opening media types that gave me my first crash! I keep opening photos and I can briefly see that media types is expanded, but no matter how many times I manage to open and quickly press on it I can’t get it to collapse again!

***UPDATE*** went in for one more try. Bingo that did it. Thank you, you’re a star ⭐ was it your frustration that led to the frantic tapping and viola! 😂 Must update Apple as to the cause.

I have a 13PM daily and it is pretty smooth and I really haven’t run into any issues. Much smoother than beta 4.
