No computer or Apple Store near you?
If no, I would suggest to wait until official release, it’s always a possibility that the installation can fail and makes your iPhone useless…

I don’t have PC/Mac either, but I have two apple stores near to my home, so no problem.

But if you don’t have that near to your home/location, I would wait!

Just finished installing, very smooth install no problems.
Phone quite warm but guess that is to be expected.
Initial impressions are positive I would say but will have to have a good play around , instantly I can feel it’s quicker opening apps etc and not sure on the new icons from a distance it looks like the icons not loaded properly and blurry but sure will get used to it .
Glad I waited till PB 4 as this feels basically final .
A bit too late but with iP16's there is a way to restore from another apple device (iPhone, iPad) wirelessly.

FB19790861 (Tapping into Search bar and then elsewhere causes visual glitch)

Tapping into the Mail app's search bar and then elsewhere to take focus away from the search field causes this visual glitch between the search and neighbouring toolbar.

Taking a direct screen capture, either still or video, doesn't reproduce the glitch so I needed to film off-screen.

Tapping somewhere else again usually forces the glitch to correct itself.

As it turns out, this isn’t entirely unique to the Mail app. In Voice Memos:

Safari scrolling is still very laggy here on 15PM. It’s like promotion is not on.

No problem with it on beta hopefully it gets better.

I'm still having problems charging my iPhone 16 Pro Max with a MagSafe 2 charger (Nomad Stand One Max). When I place the phone on the stand horizontally to enable StandBy mode, it will start to charge, but then almost immediately charging stops for about 5 seconds and then starts again. If my phone isn't on silent mode, I hear a nonstop loop of MagSafe and charging "dings."

Strangely, when I place the phone on the stand vertically, it seems to charge just fine. So this bug seems to have something to do with StandBy or the display being activated while charging with a MagSafe 2 charger.

No issues at all charging on my older MagSafe 1 stand.
Hmm, interesting.
My Nomad One QI2 stand is working as expected, since DB6 if I remember correctly.
Just a thought, maybe try force restart the phone and unplug the charger for some seconds. Or you have probably already done that?

Yeah, I’ve tried all that. Restarting my phone or unplugging the charging stand for about 30 seconds will temporarily fix the problem, but it seems to start acting up again in about 24 hours. Really strange.

I verified that the Nomad stand itself is fine — it works flawlessly on an older iPhone running iOS 18.6.

Only a small difference yes. Single +22 points and multi +31 points. So definitely not the same.

Last year my 15 Pro lost points from iOS 17 to iOS 18.

I came from iOS 18.6.1 to iOS 26 public beta 4 and the latter is noticeably quicker across the device with super fast & fluid animations.

Whatever Apple did, it definitely feels like a performance boost imo.

When I dial a number, a brief haptic plays when the call is connected, and I'm not sure if this is an iOS 26 feature (I'm on the latest Dev beta). I would like to turn off this haptic but can't seem to find where to do so. Anyone know which one I mean, and whether I can turn it off?

I don’t think you can turn this off, me personally I love this feature, many times I don’t know if the called one is connected or not, this vibration clears that out for me !

But maybe search for it?

I did on Settings. I'll keep searching. I wonder if this has been there all along and I'm just noticing it or if iOS 26 did it.

After a few days I don’t think beta 7 feels as polished as 6 was. I’ve notice a little more battery burn than I had on 6. Also performance seems a little more sluggish and I had a respring on my iPad yesterday. Had not had one of those at all on any other betas. It’s not a horrible difference, but it feels like there is a difference. Here is hoping to a beta 8 next week and it being a little more polished. The end is in sight for this beta cycle…..
