Makes sense. Reflashing is a tedious abd laborious task. Done it once already last week when I was having banner issues with mail. Thankfully the refresh fixed that issue. And now to hope Tuesdays release fixes this odd box issue as as I typed I can't see what I'm typing!😂
Oh my, yes. Text fields on this website have always been bad, but 26 broke them here, in EBay, and probably many other places.
No fix since beta 1 isn’t hope inducing.

Sorry but this is the usually crying that the release version will be full of bugs and the worst ever…
I’m taking part in the beta process since iOS 13… I read comments like this over all these years. At the end it wasn’t that bad thankfully with the release versions and these version „full of bugs“ worked pretty fine.
I second this. The complaints are the same every year and come from a vocal few. “Apple is doomed” and “Apple have lost their way” and “Steve would be rolling in his grave”…

My phone works perfectly fine and looks a little different and IMO, a little better this year. Sure there’s bugs. There will ALWAYS be bugs. As they get fixed, new ones will present. Always and forever.

Funny bug for me though. Every time I drive past U-Haul on my way to the barbershop, I get a notification that my rental is ready to pick up. On June 7th.

So I have the beta on my main iPhone 16 pro max and can say it’s not great even on the latest beta 9.
From visual bugs to stutters it’s just not ready for final , I hope the RC on Tuesday will be more refined .
Also looks like some beta versions of apps implementing liquid glass so that will hopefully help the apps feel integrated into liquid glass.

Im running latest beta on my 11 Pro Max, cause I sold my 16PM and I’m waiting for 17PM.
I can’t believe they released this OS for this model. The performance is so terrible, that I had to turn off transparency and reduce animations in order to do anything. They shouldn’t be marketing long software support if it’s gonna look like this. I’m disappointed.

Why did you sell the 16 pro max and downgrade to 11 pro max ?
If it’s just so you can get the 17 pro max i don’t understand why ? The 16 pro max would have suited you just fine and the fact you are unhappy with iOS 26 you could have kept the 16 pro max on iOS 18 and still had great performance.

You sold your 16PM to replace it with a phone that hasn't even came out yet? You're that confident you're gonna like it?

I like to watch some reviews first before I buy something.

I am convinced too, that I will buy the 17 PM 100% - so I already sold my 15 PM before the prices fall, I am 100% confident that I will like the 17 PM, so some of us don’t need reviews for decide what to buy

Yes, I’m quite confident with the decision :) I had 11PM laying in my drawer unused, so its just a temporary replacement.

Exactly. It happens every year. There are very few surprises of the negative variety for iPhone, year over year. Being amazed/surprised/shocked that someone has sold their existing device in preparation for the next model is the crazy position here.

I'm not upgrading this year, but those of you who are, I salute you!

I’m really in two minds wether or not to sell my 16 Pro and get the 17 Pro. Love the 16 Pro such a great all round device and I’m loving iOS 26 on it. Possibly no need to upgrade it.

Exciting week nonetheless, should get iOS 26 RC this week along with the new iPhones unveiling 😄

The only thing that makes a difference between 16 pro and 17 pro is the rumoured upgrade to the ram from 8 to 12 which will no doubt make iOS 26 run better with apple intelligence and gpt5

Battery life for me has been excellent. I do get asked about location services a lot though. And when I open messages almost every time it asks me if I want to share my DND status.

Really annoying. Other than that no major complaints.

To me it looks like they are lacking a solid UI framework basis to make that kind of visual design seamless. It’s very apparent that they have to work with bolting on stuff and adding layers on top of each other with leaky abstractions. Probably lots and lots of special-case coding to implement what the graphical designers cooked up.
This has been my thought too since day 1. I really like some of the ethos for Liquid Glass but the execution of it across all the apps has been dodgy. Lots of bandaids and seemingly tacked on hot fixes to address issues that probably need a deeper and more robust solution.

I had heard somewhere that apple even has their own private APIs for handling UI issues that normal developers do not have access to. If true, that says A LOT!

Aside from the visual issues, I'm afraid that with Liquid Glass they're also accruing even more technical debt than they would otherwise have, and they've already been drowning in complexity. This is likely to increase the cost of future changes as well.

This beta has completely broken my alarms. I caught it the other morning as I watched it go off for 5 seconds then abruptly stop ringing, and then stay on the screen with the stop button. I don’t know why Apple can’t do something as basic as an alarm correctly.

I don’t know if it has to do with the attention aware feature or not but I’m going to turn it off again to see if that fixes it. In my past experience, if a call, or any type of notification goes off, it will interrupt the alarm.

They should allow us to customize the settings for the attention aware feature, because I like my screen staying on when I look at it, but maybe I don’t want it to lower notification volume.

Anyone else experiencing alarm issues? First four to six betas were fine, up until these last couple. I doubt RC will fix

Is anyone able to share some pictures of iOS 26 ? Specifically the floating bars with liquid glass vs when reduced transparency is on?
Curious to know if iOS 26 is like iOS 18 but with the extra features.
Cheers

I do prefer the new control centre being in light mode , on iOS 18 it was always too dark

I just had the most odd bug I’ve ever experienced. My 16PM REFUSES to take a picture of the moon using raw image format. It works with HEIF & it clicks everything else in raw no problem, but it specifically doesn’t take pictures of the moon using raw. It has the haptic shutter feedback when I try to click a picture and that happens thrice consecutively but nothing after that and nothing saves.
