And how you turn off the search button?
Settings - Home Screen & App Library, toggle off the Show on Home Screen switch for Search
And how you turn off the search button?
If you click on the check mark, it'll make the keyboard go away and you can see the bar again. Click on the bar again and the keyboard will show up as it should.Sorry guys, I have to ask again as I've looked all the settings and cannot find away to get rid of the tick and search bar above the keypad in the picture below. And surely I can't be the only one who's getting it, can I?
It's supper annoying as once you've typed a certain amount of text, the bottom lines are hidden by the bar and tick and you can't see what you've typed.
I removed SwiftKey as someone suggested this bar might be part of it, but that hasn't helped at all.
Any help massively welcome. View attachment 2543465
Nope, I keep it on—which on my iPhone it behaves correctly, it only badges apps that I have it turned on for. In my case, I’m getting badges for apps that I’ve turned off, but only in the App Library in the view of a folder. If it’s one of the top three apps in the category, it doesn’t have a badge.
I thought I was the only one with the jittery keyboard when using a lot of 3rd party apps. It makes using the ipad pretty unusable. Totally unacceptable. The fact that the iPad floating keyboard is still not working consistently for 3rd party apps in beta 9 is incomprehensible to me.
This is an iPadOS 18 bug. Apple has simply ignored it. I wouldn't be surprised if it carries over in 26.0.Nope, I keep it on—which on my iPhone it behaves correctly, it only badges apps that I have it turned on for. Thanks cafe505. So this bar is normal and everyone has it? If so is there any way of turning it off permanently? I find on too many occasions it obscures the view off the text box once you get to the bottom. Especially on MacRumors. File size will only change significantly when they add or remove content.. at this point they are fine tuning the code, which does not noticeably affect the overall size of the entire package. Also like I said, it seems they’re just releasing the same Buggy beta since beta 7. Same file size and no visual bugs fixed.
Yes, I have been for the last 4 betas. Doesn't happen as frequently like before.Anyone else get only icon names flying in when unlocking iPhone sometimes?
Maybe these apps have to be recompiled for iOS 26?I thought I was the only one with the jittery keyboard when using a lot of 3rd party apps. It makes using the ipad pretty unusable. Totally unacceptable.
Not had that but I’ve seen when scrolling through the home screens that the apps aren’t there and then they quickly appear.Do you also get sometimes just the icon names before the icons appear?

thank you so much!!! the liquid glass dock looks so much better!Holy cow guys. I got the Liquid Glass dock back full time. All I had to do is turn off the search button. See my screenshot.
Yes. I have to always fully close the app and reopen it. Then it works. Is anyone else having issues typing certain letters on apple carplay?
I scrolled all the way to the bottom and it’s not there. I have over 900 songs on the playlist :/ hopefully it comes back for me in RCI am currently listening to a large playlist (well, played directly on the HomePod) I checked my Music app on the phone and I had to scroll a while before seeing the icon and "743 More Songs"
I am using iPhone 16PM and on the latest Public Beta
Mine looks the same whether I have search or not.Holy cow guys. I got the Liquid Glass dock back full time. All I had to do is turn off the search button. See my screenshot.
What’s your setup? Light mode? Dark mode? Reduce transparency? Can you provide a screenshot?Mine looks the same whether I have search or not.
just confirmation from someone here in the UK and they too are getting this bar. Seems some have it and others don't. Rather strangeThanks cafe505. So this bar is normal and everyone has it? I know I can tap the tick and it’ll go away but I don’t want to keep doing this every time.
Wait until Tuesday when the RC is out. No sense in re-flashing the same buggy beta.R TT tree feverish harbinger

Wondering whether I should do another clean install 🤔
Makes sense. Reflashing is a tedious abd laborious task. Done it once already last week when I was having banner issues with mail. Thankfully the refresh fixed that issue. And now to hope Tuesdays release fixes this odd box issue as as I typed I can't see what I'm typing!😂Wait until Tuesday when the RC is out. No sense in re-flashing the same buggy beta.
Can you still open App Library or the Widget Today View thing on the left side?Haven't seen this reported... I am having a new issue that I've never seen before. I have two home screen pages set up, both with widgets, folders and individual icons. Every so often, I'm losing the second page. Soft/Hard restart, power off/on, etc. do not seem to bring it back. Yet after awhile, it reappears on its own.
While it is gone, I do not have the option to readd the icons for the apps from that page to the home screen from the App Library, because it thinks/knows that they already exist. Yet, that home screen page is completely gone, even if I use the "Edit Pages" on the home screen configuration menu. It's not available to select to enable.
