Now that’s something I wasn’t expecting. Downloading. Seems like both iOS and iPadOS got new builds, WatchOS and MacOS remained the same.

But this release today changed anything. Even the Friday now became a legit possibility for new major updates. Crazy.
OTA update from RC2 is shown with 11 Gb but jumped more or less instantly to „preparing“ update on my phone. Pretty sure the download was much smaller than 11 Gb.

Exactly the same experience for me.

What ever they fixed/changed with RC2 and the new build night have pushed there plans a couple of days, and if Christmas wasn't coming up public release night have been on monday but they probably need next week to get 26.3 out before they are out of office.

When I saw the updates this morning I nevertheless had a look at my Mac also and found an update. Doing it now.
OTOH I don’t do betas so maybe that’s the reason.

No love for macOS 😥
I've REALLY been hoping something more stable would be out for a 'point'2 update by now. I had an issue with my MBP Photo App Library not updating, so I tried a restore when opening the Photos app, and it's never once finished restoring over the last month.. It seems to time out after about 24 hours. I was told to keep it minimized or even closed all together, and just let it go in the background.. nope. I've killed the bird process, rebooted, I've even tried installing the latest build which ended up being the RC and final release, over itself, and am seeing no change.

Again, this has been going on for about a month, and am only having an issue with my MBP. My Mac mini, iPhone, and iPad are having no issues.. After more troubleshooting, I dug a littler deeper and found that my MBP (only) was having some iCloud syncing issues, and found that some folders haven't synced in years! I was going to try signing out of iCloud and back in, but not with that totally ominous warning about removing the iCloud folders.. Does that mean removing the stuff that's not uploading to iCloud in those folders?? It doesn't say. Do I have Time Machine backups? Sure! I don't really want to do some exhaustive search through my backups to see if things are actually getting backed up, though. I'm honestly not even sure where to begin with that, or even know what documents or anything may be on one machine and not another. Everything else seems to be failing, why should I just assume Time Machine is still working, too? I've filed Feedback with Apple, but as usual, that black hole void has yet to acknowledge any feedback I've filed in close to 6 years. Or about whenever Craig F was on stage at WWDC talking about how they're going to pay more attention to developer feedback....

Sorry.. back to speculating..

Here's hoping for something a little better when 26.3b1 comes out this week. I'm going for Monday at the standard 12:10PM CST timeframe...
