I would agree. Seems that Apple just stopped signing the recently released updates for older phones (pre-iOS 26), and I find it hard to believe they'd release a 'point.point' update if they're planning to release iOS 26.3 next week. I'd assume that 26.3 would be released maybe Feb 9
They would be releasing 26.3 in two weeks if my thinking is right. The RC Beta would be next week, not public release. 👍🏻

Based on the fact that the public beta came a day later than the dev one this week, I fear we are getting another beta next week and (if dev and public are on the same day) RC the week after.

For the last several years, this pattern has not been broken with .X updates and the only reason I am not more certain about this round is that the dev beta was released later in the day than usual (due to 26.2.1), so it might be an anomaly. No beta last week also matches us still being on a 2 week beta schedule, making a RC next week even more unlikely. I do hope I am wrong though.
Perhaps, though we have reports indicating 26.4 Beta 1 and the new Siri will be landing mid February. So unless they do overlapping betas, I think it’s fairly safe to say that 26.3 would be released by mid February… 🤷🏼‍♂️. But maybe not. 👍🏻

The beta over the summer really messed my battery up, my 16 pro max went from the best battery I’ve ever had in a phone to kinda bad to be honest, and health went to to 93%.

Plan to install the 26.4 beta and then will do a wipe and fresh install for the full release. Depending on how the new phones are will either upgrade or buy a new battery. In hindsight, getting Liquid Glass early was not worth it lol.

Hope I am wrong, but if 26.3 RC is linked to the new MAC Hardware, I don’t think we get it on Monday. Apple doesn’t seem to like Apple product releases on Mondays when they come via press release.

93% after one year isn’t that exceptional.
The early betas might pushed it a bit harder but it’s not the only reason for the battery degradation.

The one X variable that would unlink the RC from hardware would be is if the public release is a newer build then the RC. If we get the RC before the hardware announcement and a hardware announcement comes, I would venture to lean towards this scenario coming into play.

Yeah, sometimes they just incorporate the new stuff for new hardware into the final public build, and so I wouldn’t write off an RC before the new hardware is announced. 👍🏻
