iOS 27 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Couple of new ones - iPhone Air.
Had to take a trip down to Phoenix ….
Connected via Car Play and could not get it to make a call. Other features seemed to work okay. Siri was sloooowwwww. Hooked to a Chevy Colorado (2026). Going to play around a bit more this weekend.

Also while in Phoenix, wife and I stopped for lunch. Tried to bring up a live view from my Amazon Blink system. The request just spins. Did the same request on my wife’s Galaxy S25Plus and worked just fine. The Air works fine on WiFI, but not on 5G.

Anyone else having maps in carplay (Waze, Apple Maps) constantly switching from light mode to dark mode back and forth all drive while driving in normal daylight? Happens every drive to and from work (so morning and evening). Going to log it as an issue, but didn’t see it mentioned here when searching.

Very solid, both iOS and MacOS!
As I said before, this beta feels like a x.5 update, no major bugs or anything annoying since a few annoying bugs from beta 1 were fixed (cropping screenshots and iPhone Mirroring not working).
Battery life is now close to where it was during 26.6 beta.

I have not tried Waze, but Apple Maps behave us expected. iPhone 17 with Beta 2.
 
So I skipped B1 and jumped on board B2 a few hours ago. Since then I’ve had the orange microphone dot, even with all apps closed, is this part of the indexing process?

Amazing for an early dev beta, I normally would not dream of putting it on my everyday devices so early. Only real step backwards for me is using Siri to set reminders, can be really frustrating and slow. It constantly hangs asking did you mean this or that, and doesn't accept any answer or create the reminder. But noticeably better than Beta 1 otherwise.

Did you report the 'set Reminders' problem? FB23438761 is my report

Working through the new Siri progress is both interesting (it can surprise me sometimes) and frustrating (simple things like this don't work reliably any longer right now)

I know there've been job listings for Polish Siri this year but I'd guess it'll come in 1-2 years if not longer.

It is not! Can’t find it anywhere at least. When I clicked on the notification it just dumped me into the Siri settings.

As another note… I’m not polish! Not sure why it suggested it to me
 
I’ve done betas long enough to clearly see a pattern and many of the same bugs I see every year are present with iOS 27 beta. It works, nothing critical but enough to be an annoyance for daily use even with the improvements.
