It isn’t *fully* gone yet, since the black depth effect at the left and right of the icon still manifests after the app returns to the home screen, but way better than beta 4.Finally… after all these months 🙂

No. Water resistant. HUGE difference. They ask that even tho most of the devices are on some level IP6X dust resistant just to see if you are using them in accordance with their respective limits. That’s good to know. It’s just the onerous task of having to book an appointment and get taken through all the questions I suppose. One of my favorites is “has this watch been exposed to water in the past 30 days?” To which I look at them “well, yeah, it’s an Ultra. It’s waterproof, no?”
This is kinda distressing. Never before OS26+ has core features like that broken before. Their QA is almost non existent these days. OS26 feels like one giant beta and they are on 26.6 already.Occasionally FaceID is not working properly when using Raise to Wake. Usually it unlocked phone automatically whenever phones was lifted. Now I doesn’t work anymore and I have to lock/unlock via lock button for it to work.
Not on my 17 Pro, nor on my iPad.“

- Dictation can now be powered by a new on-device model that boosts accuracy. To enable this, go to Keyboard settings > Dictation and Toggle on "Advanced Dictation Preview". (178444388)
Does anyone have this option available? i don’t on my iPhone 17pro
Has anyone else have problem with the favorite contacts list ? The first one does not do anything when I press it doesn’t call at all. All the rest are working

I don’t have a 3D icon in maps anymore (unless I use two fingers to get 3D). Am sure it was there in previous versions? Feedback ID: FB24287016
In a weird way, I don't mind these bugs as they're in areas that I'm happy Apple is still tinkering with.Looks like beta 5 seems more buggy than expected?
US, English, iPhone 17proWhat region are you in? I believe this is part of the geofencing restrictions in the EU, same as Siri AI. But I could be wrong on that.
But, the toggle is literally listed as new in beta 5… when would it have been removed?I tried mactracker's method for seeing if advanced dictation is being used (https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...hanges-and-improvements.2485019/post-34670337) and it is. Seems like Apple removed the setting to toggle advanced dictation and now its just always on for supported devices.
Yes.. it’s been mentioned that it only happens if you have pinned threads. You should submit a feedback anyway.is everyone having the visual bug some users are mentioning here where there's content overlap in the Messages app?
"Once I send a message and go back to the messages homescreen the top banner almost takes up half the screen"
None. Just minor OS annoyances. Very minor. Even my company managed profile and apps installed and are functioning properly. All banking work. Okta and Oracle authenticator work. Nothing I've used has had operational issues.Have you run across any third party apps that have breaking changes? I’ve just installed the PB that dropped today.
It was announced in WWDC. Not new.I don't know if this just now started on this beta or whether it was there before.
When you call someone in their birthday, it tells you so. With a nice animation and all.
Of course, this depends on you entering the birthdate on their contact card.
I think this is an expected behaviour, as I only have “2D” round button appearing when the Maps are in 3D mode. I don’t remember it being any other way.
Definitely a recent change. Not sure if it was changed in b4 or b5.I am sure there used to be the button always there for 3D or 2D. I could be wrong, of course.

That button only shows for me when i'm zoomed in enough to get a 3D viewI am sure there used to be the button always there for 3D or 2D. I could be wrong, of course.
I occasionally swim with it, but at most wear it in the shower.No. Water resistant. HUGE difference. They ask that even tho most of the devices are on some level IP6X dust resistant just to see if you are using them in accordance with their respective limits.
I have gotten AirPods replaced a bunch of times and they always ask if they have come in contact with water. I always answer just light rain to which they reply “oh, rain is fine.” They are looking for things like “yeah, they fell in the toilet” or “I dropped them in a lake and it took about 30m to fish them out.” Those exceed the recommended limits and would likely cause water damage.
The Ultras can go down up to 100 metres. Anything more and they’d likely ding you for it. Next time tell them you dove down 99 metres lol.
