iOS 27 Beta 5 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

My iPad Pro on iPadOS2 27 Developer Beta 5 has a super annoying issue with not being able to tap on Safari items at the very top of the page, such as on Apple.com and Facebook.com. Restart doesn’t fix issue. I see this being reported on pages 7 & 8 of this thread.

I also have an issue when playing some Apple TV shows on my iPad, such as Ted Lasso, where there’s a 1 or 2 pixel box around the video, even in full screen.

I’m surprised that public betas were released today without a new developer beta to fix these.

Also, what happened with the “iPadOS 27 Beta 5 - Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements” thread? I swear the thread was there yesterday shortly after developer beta came out but seems that the comments have been merged into this thread.

I’m also not seeing the duplicate icons bug from the App Library for some reason. Long pressing gives me the usual menu, continue to hold down and then I can drag it to whichever Home Screen I want it on or press the minus button to remove it. (Is that the bug or are the icons automatically popping up on your home screens when you long press?)

Don’t drag it from the App Library. Simply long press to get the menu and then tap out of it and it’ll be on your Home Screen. Or at least that’s what it does for me.

Yup. It's a known bug on this beta. Makes navigating YT arduous. Looks like the app is rendering the title bar on top of the UI for some reason. The tabs themselves also do not adhere to the UI tint setting. Kind of a train wreck.

Certain elements of webpages are un-clickable or only clickable after several attempts for me. For example, the forum login button or forum button in the MacRumors header. Another poster noted weirdly rendered glyphs in MR, and I have the same issue.

I cannot click the X (close) button for some tabs in Safari, but I can for other tabs.
 
Is anyone else having an issue syncing photos from their phone to Mac? I took a few photos yesterday, and today they show up on my phone, but it doesn't seem to sync to my photo app
 
It's hard to keep up here on the thread. I've noticed they have done away with contact profile photos in the Messages contacts list and in Recents. Only the name shows now. Is that new?
 
Taking and saving a screenshot on my iPad (iPadOS 27 B5) doesn’t show up in Photos app on the same device, but does show on my iPhone (iOS 26) after syncing.
 
The ‘No-Zone’ in Safari revealed itself as an expanded toolbar! This is still in Compact Tab Bar.

Using Separate Tab Bar still has a dead area under the tab bar.
 
So it took about 24 hours maybe a little more and 4 reboots and my hotspot option which was disabled/greyed out to start working again smh 😒. Damn beta

I went to try this and now of all times my optimising Search and Siri has disappeared lol 😂

It's extremely smooth for me. The indexing message showed up and cleared overnight. Bug with blank icons is gone. Can't comment on the battery life yet.
