The crazy annoyance where tapping on the “refresh” icon on the bottom in Safari would open the keyboard for the search bar instead of actually refreshing seems to have been fixed.
Touch is now registering properly.

Anyone else had the option of choosing 48MP in camera settings disappear using 17PM on this build?

Goodness knows why they’ve never created the option of leaving it on 48MP as default setting.

Any chance of Apple fixing Mac Music when wired earphones are attached and playing lossless music? Currently, there are skips, burps, pauses, and stops about every 6 or 7 songs. Without lossless, it works fine...

My iPad keyboard pops up and then disappears, and I have to invoke it again. Has been like this in Safari since beta 1.. I’m beginning to think this is not something that they will fix

If you’re using an external keyboard like my Magic Keyboard, the onscreen keyboard won’t stay up. I’ve had to detach my iPad as I can’t type into a text field on this and many other sites. Detached from the MKB, the onscreen keyboard works without any issues.

Also had the issue where the Public Beta wasn't showing the update, Developer Beta seems to have done the trick.

After updating I'm getting the odd artifacts on MacRumors via Safari as well.

More no response touch issues, this time in health app. Unable to change from week to day or any other range. All issues seem to be in upper quarter of screen and only in Apple apps.

Can confirm this in the Mail app, like Safari, if I scroll the contents of an email so a link/button’s just under the toolbar, I can’t successfully tap the button.

My guess is that its probably switching between 44.1khz and 48khz. Check your sample rates in the audio and midi settings.

Disable/enable 24 hours time and disable/enable automatic TimeZone and restart device

Beta 5, while still very good, has actually been a bit buggier for me than Beta 4

I don't know how to do this so be gentle, but when trying to pay for a month of iCloud storage (I'm on my way to scan a bunch of pages from books), the credit card listed was old/expired and didn't show the two current ones. When trying to add one, the camera function to read the cards was disabled requiring me to type in all of the numbers (tragic, I know!)

Beta 5, while still very good, has actually been a bit buggier for me than Beta 4

On my iPad it’s the buggiest yet. That’s typical as they tend to get worse before getting better.

Looks like this iOS 27 feature was included in 26.6.1 (update the Apple TVs from the home app) - this is from my main iPhone which is not on beta

Anyone having issues with initially unlocking iPhone with Face ID? When I raise my iPhone to wake, Face ID does not unlock my iPhone. Only after waking it a second time and subsequent unlocks does it work without hiccups. Happens on both my iPhone 17 Pro Max and my M5 iPad Pro

Have this too where it sometimes refuses to recognise my face.

That’s exactly why I don’t risk it. Especially since the betas some time ago with buggy Hermés “detection” that made the Watch app and the watch itself crash.

having issue in accessing spotlight by swiping down

I’m having the same issue from the lock screen specifically. I noticed that FaceID wasn’t initiating and the phone was still locked. When the phone automatically initiates FaceID (as it should) swiping down to open Spotlight works fine.

I also noticed that on DB4 any icon I long pressed included an “ask Siri” shortcut. It looks like that was (thankfully) removed in DB5.

Those used to stop appearing for me any time my phone restarted. I filed feedback a few betas ago and now, as of Beta 5, I consistently receive those notifications after phone restarts, so I closed the feedback today.

For the record, just open the Watch app, go to the Sleep section, and toggle “Charging Reminders” off and back on. I used to have to do that after every phone restart but, like I said, that seems to be fixed for me now.
