iOS 27 Beta 7 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Probably asking this question maybe one or two people can answer. Is this latest beta really better than 26.6.1? This latest iOS 26 version runs so good on my iPhone 16.

Does everything work like it does on iOS 26? CarPlay? Really having a hard time thinking iOS 27 is daily driver ready.

Well yeah...we know the final release will be in a few weeks. I would hope we're trending towards an 'a' build at this point.

There can be more betas with 'a' builds, so it doesn't necessarily mean we are close to the final release.

For iOS 26.0, developer betas 7, 8, & 9 all had an 'a' build.

For 26.3, it went from 'e', 'd', 'd' to public release. (No 'a' build.)

For 26.4, it went from 'q', 'e', 'f', 'k', 'a'. ('e', 'f', 'k' aren't in descending order.)

As others have said, all the letter means is the number of compiles it took. It's not directly related to when it's going to be released.

Ok I swiped down for spotlight search and it immediately put me at the text field. No jumping around and cursor is at Search or ask blinking. 17 pm.

Well I installed public beta 4 onto my Air on Friday coming from 26.6.1… it’s been running fab! I haven’t had any bugs that take away from the experience at all.

Performance is top drawer and battery life has also been solid.

Zero regrets!

Never had any issues with swiping up to close an app, running iOS 27 betas since day 2. 🖐️

Probably not in 27.0, possibly in the .1 beta? I’m guessing we won’t see it until 27.2 though, given Apple’s track record with releasing features.

But as one who treats betas as they should be (versions in testing), does everything work in this latest iOS 27 beta like it works in 26.6.1? Thanks.

The only obvious change from DB6 I can spot so far is a faster camera opening.

The rest looks pretty much the same, including the previous bugs with inverted WiFi signal bars in Control Centre and that jumping Search bar when entering Spotlight from the Home Screen (without Siri AI).

Maybe you have full signal ; and unsecure SSID doesn't have this issue

The cellular bars in the status bar on the control center screen are still the older style, not the updated one in the main status bar.
