When you set a location-based reminder in the Reminders app, the location arrow in the status bar now shows only an outline of the icon indicating that the geofence is in place.

Previously it was the fully white/purple filled system-wide location icon.

I hope Apple provides an update that lets you drop a pin on a map to select a location instead of forcing you to choose and address saved in your address book. It's almost too logical and straightforward to add!

In earlier versions of iOS, if I closed all the tabs/pages of Safari when I was finished using it (out of paranoia!), whenever I went to open up Safari again - it would immediately open my bookmarks. It no longer appears to do that under 5.1. It just opens a blank white page which I prefer.

well, it took time to get it right! Finally..

Really? You're able to put the Newsstand icon in another folder? I'd love to be able to do that but it doesn't work for me. (5.1 on 4S)

Noway - Newsstand itself is a folder - and so far Im pretty sure you just can't put folder into another folder...

I'm sure this has been discussed to death by others, but I wanted to add my +1 on the much improved Safari download speed. It comes close to rivaling a desktop browser in producing pages on command.

Even with 5.0.1, it took around 2-3 seconds to get a page on the screen - with those annoying gray and white squares as placeholders. Now, it's about 1 second and the whole page appears. A great improvement.

An annoying bug in 5.1. I can no longer send an SMS to a friend with a link to download an app from my iPhone (or iPad?). Previously you could click "Tell a Friend" from the AppStore which then prepared an email with a text link. You could then copy this and paste it into a SMS. Now the email is HTML formatted with a graphic link. This link cannot be viewed or copied to anywhere and is now hidden. I even used to send tweets and facebook posts. Now it's just email or nothing as I have no idea what the URL is??? :(
