Nope, this was a 5.0 feature.
Ah, IC. I joined in at the 5.0.1 era, so it was probably removed from that, lol.

This was there before. There's now an option on how iTunes Match downloads songs (Use Cellular Data).
On the iPhone 4S, if you turn the phone off whilst it's charging instead of staying off it turns itself back on
Is that why the UK switched from metric to imperial for most of their measurements? Mostly for distance, I think they stick with metric for weight, as it would just lead to confusion over there.
I think imperial is here to stay.
Sorry folks, back on topic now.
I have noticed more weight measurements being given in KG now and not stones. Miles will probably stick in the UK forever though.

Oh! Okay thanks, is it new to 5.1 or was it in 5.0.1? I haven't noticed that in previous versions of iOS 5, but that could just be me missing it.
All iPhones have always done that. As does my other phone (a Nokia Lumia)
It was in 5.0.1 also
For the iPad, or the iPhone? Because I really wanted that feature on my iPhone, through 5.0.1 and 5.1b, however, I never found it on my 4S until after the 5.1 update... iPad, however, always had the option.
Also, Safari is way faster to load pages. But I'm sure others have mentioned this already.
No, they haven't. That's why I posted it as it's a change from every other iPhone/iOS version I've had.
Turns out it only does it when charging in an iPhone 2G dock though.

We actually switched to metric FROM imperial for most things. The exception is distance on roads and railways, which are still calculated in miles and yards (roads), and miles and chains (railways)
----------
Probably, although Ireland very recently converted to km.
I agree we'll mostly use metric but miles are here to stay. Too many road signs would need changing otherwise lol
Lyric's no longer show on the music screen. This is not good!
Well that's weird, because my iPhone did that on 5.0.1 so I'm pretty sure this isn't a new feature from 5.1
Just noticed that there is no camera button on the iPad2 lock screen. If you double click the home button while on the lock screen, you get volumne and track controls for music! I never noticed this before, but then, I don't normally use the iPad for taking photographs.
It wasn't on my phone. I flipped the stupid iTunes Match switch so many times, I know it wasn't there. The only two switches were the iTunes Match ON/OFF Switch and the Show All Music ON/OFF Switch.
This was how it was on my iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1:
