LinkedIn Social Profiles in 7.1 beta

Anyone tried adding social profiles? I've tried adding linkedin profile ids and all it does is give me a safari page saying profile not found. Are you supposed to use just the id or a whole URL?

Also, I have found that when adding Facebook profiles, if the Facebook has already found the contact via an email in your contacts, it will open in the Facebook app however if it is relying on the manually added social profile name, it will open in safari. Bit annoying.

Camera app freeze

In iOS 7.0.4, sometimes when using the camera app, not using the front facing camera, but using the rear camera, it freezes, and the app is no longer functional.

Usually, i find when this happens, its *all the time* even closing and re-lauching doesn't help... Although switching iPhone off and back on does.

  • Calendar list view button
  • now FINALLY at the bottom of the month view in Calendar, events of selected day are shown again
  • new Control Center animation
  • buttons can now be marked clearlier (so pressable text labels look like buttons again)

All added in iOS 7.1 b2... TAKE THAT, CALENDAR HATERS :D
See these screenshots (ignore all the German text)
This is a great improvement. Glad that Apple seemingly listened to at least some feedback about the Calendar and made some changes to address some/most of the things that were brought up.

I personally do not like the buttons and how they look

I think that part is more of something they are testing perhaps or really a true accessibility feature that won't be useful to those who aren't really affected by the thinner fonts and all that.

That said, the improvements to calendar (which was the main thing I was commenting on, although I didn't quite specify that), specifically to bring back some of those removed pre-iOS 7 features, that's a really good move on Apple's part.

I don't know if this was a problem that everyone had, but in b1, I could not change tracks or play/pause from a docked device or AVRCP over Bluetooth without it crashing the active music app. This seems to be fixed for me in b2. iPhone 5s and iPad mini retina.

Was having this same problem. Beta 2 seems to have fixed it on my 4S as well.

btw anyone getting a graphical glitch when u use the black keyboard in facetime menu? its like slighting glitchy lines

Another bug I just discovered in iOS7.

When trying to write a review of an app in the App Store. The keyboard covers up the box which you are typing in. As you write, the box does not move so in effect, you type on the keyboard which is over the top of the box so you can't see what you are typing?!

See this screen shot to see what I mean:

When you don't have any appointments for the day (or any more appointments for the day) does the whole Calendar section go away, like the Reminders do? Or does it still show an empty list like it does now? And could you provide a pic of this?

Cant take a pic right now as I have events listed today, but yesterday when I had no events the section was still there but it just showed one line message there simply saying something to the effect of "no events".

Button shapes/dark colors 7.1b2

Have to say I really like the dark colors and button shapes options. Both on together have a more intuitive look. It looks more finished to me than just light, thin text. Hope this remains an option in the final! Overall getting better.

Well u ought to look into other threads for for more beta info.. There are a few things there in the ios 7.1 beta 2 thread u haven't updated ...

Control Center Option

One of the things I liked about iOS 6 was that the volume control and app playing the music were in the multi-tasking drawer to the left, and it was easy to quickly get to the music app (or whatever you were using), by going there, and tapping the app icon. I think CC is way better than the limited controls that were in this area in iOS 6, but it lost the ability to go to that app quickly.

So, I'm curious, with the new option that shows the app that is playing the music, can you tap it to go to the app, or is it a passive indicator?

Also, any screenshots we can see of this new tweak? Thanks in advance!

Even in 7.0 as long as the phone isn't locked you can tap the name of the item playing to go to that app.
