One of the things I liked about iOS 6 was that the volume control and app playing the music were in the multi-tasking drawer to the left, and it was easy to quickly get to the music app (or whatever you were using), by going there, and tapping the app icon. I think CC is way better than the limited controls that were in this area in iOS 6, but it lost the ability to go to that app quickly.

So, I'm curious, with the new option that shows the app that is playing the music, can you tap it to go to the app, or is it a passive indicator?

Also, any screenshots we can see of this new tweak? Thanks in advance!

With iOS 7 you've always been able to tap the song / album name in Control Center to go into the app currently playing music. It's not intuitive at all though, I only just figured it out.

Why is this a problem?

Open reminders
Create geofenced reminder
Go to other app

Easy :)

I usually use Siri to create geofenced reminders. So if Reminders isn't already launched the reminder is ignored even though Siri says it's been set.

Siri should at least launch Reminders automatically when instructed to set a geofence. But I honestly don't understand why Reminders needs to be launched in order to work in the first place. This is a new requirement that I certainly don't like.

The iOS should detect a geofenced reminder even when Reminders isn't running, just like it will for a time based reminder without it running, or, for that matter, just like a message is delivered to your screen even when iMessages isn't launched.

It's not necessarily a problem, but can get you into trouble if you don't remember to leave the app running in the background.

On days I need a location-based reminder, I now have to remember to open an app to remind me at a location. Seems redundant, but YMMV.

Maybe open it once and never close it.

Maybe, but why isn't it required to be open for time based reminders?

Do you know the reasoning the change to require Reminders to be open for a geofenced reminder was implemented in the first place? It's not welcomed as far as I'm concerned.

You can just set a reminder to open reminders app and all is well.

Actually in 7 it worked but had to have background app refresh enabled and reminders app switch on. I typically have all individual apps switched off in there but leave main switch on and reminders on. Have not verified if this still works with 7.1 b2 but just throwing it out there as something to check.

[Edit] Nope the reminders app does not even appear in background apps refresh list. So that's probably the issue. Maybe it will return in a future beta or release.

Give it back and get your $$ back. Nothing you can do if previous owner wont unlock it. Although this sounds fishy to me. Why would they refuse to do so on a device they sold? Hmmmmm

I do not know and I have proof that I bought it, but he wants to do

There's really nothing you can do then. The whole point of that new feature is to render stolen phones useless. That's why you get a message to turn that off before restoring a device. You must have the AppleID and password that enabled that feature to be able to turn it off. Otherwise the device cannot be restored or activated on another acct. Sorry.

I'm sorry that I trusted incorrect people, thanks anyway

problems with my iphone 4s

Ever since I installed the iOS7 software, my phone has not been working properly at all. My battery dies way too fast and is slow to charge, apps shut down on their own, my Bluetooth that syncs to my car goes in and out all the time, my camera quality is deteriorating, and many other issues. I went to the apple store earlier tonight and one of their employees told me that I was definitely having software problems (mostly with things out of my control) and the only solution he gave me was to restore my phone but to not have anything backed up to my icloud and find a different way to store my pictures, videos, contacts, etc. Everything else in my phone I would have to manually get back (apps wise). I'm not comfortable with completely wiping my phone if there's no guarantee that its going to work.

Has anyone else been having similar problems and if so what do you recommend I do? My phone was working perfectly fine before all of this software updating started happening.

That is the worst advice ever and I'm hoping you simply misunderstood them.

Maybe they meant to back up to icloud and completely restore your phone from that back-up....in that case, it is not a bad idea considering the large number of issues you are having.

iOS 7 may have some issues, but it shouldn't be causing those types of problems on any iPhone from iPhone 4 and up.

Strange bug

I was downloading the 12 days app and then I downloaded a police scanner app at the same time.
When I left the app store the 12 days app was complete but dark. I could not open or delete the app. I could launch the app from the app store though. And I could close the app no problem.
Still dark. So I shut down my phone and when I started it back up the app was normal.
Has this happened to anyone? I’m on the latest OS not JB.

Not sure if someone has posted this before but the weather app in b2 no longer shows animated backgrounds. It could just be a bug!

Pages, numbers and Keynotes are in the charts for FREE productivity apps, even though they cost £6.99 for me :p
