iOS 7: All The Little Things! (Featuring iOS 7.1)

Is there a different voice or just an improved one?

It's completely different, get the choice between a male or female voice as well. Strangely has only appeared on my 5s and not my iPad Air, both of which are running 7.1 b3

in OS X 10.9, there are 4 en-uk voices: Daniel (iOS/best), Oliver, Kate and Serena.

is there a chance of you posting a demo recording of the new two?

wonderful, thanks!

they sound amazingly fluid.

can’t wait to see them added to OS X.

Notice a big difference between using Siri on my 5s to the old voices on my Air, seems much more responsive and fluid.

Not quite sure why they've appeared on my iPhone and not my iPad though, both were an upgrade via iTunes from 7.0.4

With the (kind of) recently updated Remote App, I really think Apple should consider making the built in Music app resemble the remote app (in terms of aesthetics, at least).

The brightness and volume controls in Control Center now have weight and slide physics: You can "throw" the slider and it will bounce back.

Siri US Voice!

I'm still running iOS 7.0.4 and I definitely have the new voice. She sounds amazing. And the male voice is changed also. When I switched from Android I was disappointed by the quality of the voice but the improvement is at least as good if not better. I first noticed in the Maps app.

Unable to Create Custom Label in Contacts

I think I have found a bug in iOS 7 (not sure which version as I only found this last night so don't know how long its been here) on the iPad 2.

Can someone replicate this on their iPad (I have only seen this on my iPad 2 so unsure if it will be the same on other iPads) to see if this is indeed a bug:

When I open the Contacts standard app and open up any particular contact to edit, where you type in the phone number of the contact, there is also an option to add a custom label to assign against the phone number. Well, when you choose 'Add Custom Label' (which is at the top of the menu when the foreground box pops open), you are then presented with a box in the foreground and there is a space where you can indeed then create a custom label. The issue, however is this - when you have written the custom label, the 'Done' button is actually not in the foreground small box which you have open but is actually in the background screen (on the top right) which is not clickable? So, although there is an option to add a custom label, you can't actually click on 'Done' to save it?!

I tried a number of times and not once was I able to create a custom label on my iPad - I had to resort to creating it from my iPhone 5 (which has the 'Done' button on the foreground screen where you actually type in the custom label) and let it sync over to my iPad 2 via iCloud!

As I said, if I have missed exactly how to achieve this then apologies and perhaps someone could shed some light on this! If it is indeed a bug - I also do not know how/where it should be reported....?!

This is driving me crazy! Has anyone found a fix for this? Using iPad Mini-r iOS 7.0.4 and grinding my teeth. I don't use iCloud so that option is off the table.

Loss of List View in OS7 Calendar

Did I miss something? I tried a search but didn't find anything about the List View in Calendar. In OS6, that was one of my favorite option. I can't find it in OS7. Did they move it or delete it?

Is there an alternative Calendar that has it? I don't really like the OS7 version from Apple.

Tap the search icon on the top right and there is a list view. Alternatively wait for iOS 7.1 which brings back a list view underneath the calendar.

Oh, it's definitely been discussed a lot. They did remove it in iOS 7.0, but it's coming back in iOS 7.1 that should be getting released in the near future.
