Nice. That's a definite improvement in functionality.

Do you mind posting a screenshot of how sports scores and movie show times are displayed? Thanks.

I am not in US, so I can't ;)

Or maybe I can

Those functions aren't available in your country? They're not limited to the U.S. For example, I'm in Canada and I have access to that functionality in iOS 6. I'm not sure what other countries do, though.

Edit: Heh, thanks.

Don't know of anyone posted this. If you look all the way to the right of the song title you can see the little equalizer type bars.

Could someone tell me how different the multitasking is and what it now offers, which wasn't possible before?

Previously, apps were limited to 15 minutes of "background processing" time. So apps that would run in the background had to complete whatever they were doing in 15 minutes. If the user didn't re-open the app, it didn't get any more background time until the next time it was opened. So if an update came in 16 minutes after you closed the app, it would have to download that data when you launched it the next time.

Now, developers have the option of setting their app to receive "background time" periodically, depending on when you use the app the most. They also have the ability to activate an app's background processes through the push service.

What does this all mean to the end user? Basically, properly designed apps will never seem to close. Even if you close the app, as soon as you re-open it, everything should be up to date and waiting for you. All of this will be done without affecting battery life.

How can I delete all preferences imported from iOS6? Like installing the beta from zero.
I installed the beta but I have unorganized the icons, the notifications, etc... Is there any way to reset it and starts like a new iPhone?

Anyone else's Clock icon wrong?

My clock icon is showing an hour out. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have tried disabling/enabling set time automatically but it returns to being wrong.

EDIT: Restart sorted this out.

Love the fact they've gone back to the old way of showing the Apps charts. Let's see if they remove the current search page and replace it with the old one.

Nice OS
Can't open a few apps, like Google Translate
Instagram works but buggy (in News Feed photos disappear while scrolling up)

Love the settings app. much better oragnized. Cellular info is all in one place with usage data etc.

Less duplication. Only duplicate I've found so far is icloud usage is still listed under usage when it's also under icloud

love how they got the weather app to look the same on the 4s as the 5 now. with the hourlies able to horizontal scroll up top and the 5 day below

He didn't have to contribute anything to this site, so be a little grateful. Must be exhausting giving people **** for trying to help.

He DIDN'T contribute anything. His tip has been repeated multiple times now in this thread alone. There's nothing to be grateful about. If I posted 30 photos of the trees outside, I'd be "contributing" too. Doesn't make it the least bit useful for those who are here for information about iOS 7.

What is exhausting is reading the same "little things" over and over and over.

Have some respect for your audience. That's all I'm asking. I know how to bring up the Spotlight Search. I didn't need to read about it 10 times. And I certainly don't need to read about it another 50 times. I'm seeing the same question answered multiple times per page. People can't even read the page they're on?

I realize that everyone wants "credit" for being the one to find something new. But there are forum tools available. You don't have to read all 25+ pages. But at least search the thread first. It only takes seconds!

Of course it would also help if things were listed in the first post as they're discovered.

Things I like about iOS7 (based on 14 hour usage)

- Lockscreen, very stylish
- Lockscreen Slide to Unlock effect, its beautiful how icons, one at a time, settle down. Smooth and sexy as hell.
- Setting buttons, when u switch them (round white buttons) On and Off, such a cool animation
- Wether App, overall look and feel
- Calendar Icon, smarter
- Camera App - all the "improvements" are mentionable.
- Message App - much nicer interface, feels like there is more Space
- App Store, Love the stylish new install process within the app
- Notification Bar looks more mature
- Photo/Picture app is more powerful
- Safari is definitely much better.
- Font, Love the Font, it used to be the font I changed by jb-ing.

What I could wish for,

- Swipe to unlock should be on both sides, why just have it in one direction - especially now that the button isnt there. Its a natural instinct to swipe in either direction.
- Change the dock image or simply remove it! Over blurred effect.
- Parallax is cool just for a bit, not worth the effort and CPU usage, maybe a turn off option?
- Phone App needs a fix- completely remade actually, Back button cannot be at the top right (doesnt make UI sense! :S). Circle buttons though hip its style over functionality, we need edge to edge rectangles instead of round shapes so its easy for the thumb to catch a number by one hand.
- The Zoom in and Zoom out effect for each app is just not worth it, they could give us an option to turn it off - saves cpu usage and would definitely make the device snappier.
- Control Center does not "look" like a part of the full system, more like a hack and slash last minute add on. Either have a plain white background or the same as notification center background. I would prefer if it looked like completely like the settings app.
- Music App is less functional more stylish, I liked it dumb as was on the previous version - Repeat/shuffle/Play/Album/Artist/Songs and with the addition of the Radio - Now it feels all over the place, yah I could get used to it I guess.

Verdict:
iOS7 is a GREAT improvement from iOS6, feels fresher and looks nicer overall. There are opportunities to tone down the style and increase functionality in regards to phone/music app.

Do I enjoy the new iOS, I must say Yes, would I recommend someone to upgrade to it, definitely.

But that HTC One on Google Play on June 26th is extremely tempting, as after looking at iOS7, I can honestly say Google is leading in the UI/UX overall style development.

That really sucks you didn't have 10 seconds to use the "Search this thread" button. I realize you saved yourself many multiple seconds of your valuable time. Glad that was an option for you.

Don't worry about the thousands of users who have to keep reading the same darn things over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. We're just happy you didn't waste 10 seconds of your life!

Wow, you're obviously a much better person than I. I bow to your grace.

Next time you come across one of my posts then, feel free to skip over it. It'll save me and everyone else the bother of reading your response.

Very trivial thing, you can no longer use the trick to show your signal numerically (look at my previous posts on this thread). It managed to transfer over with the backup but I lost it and can't get it back. Also there are still remnants of the iOS 6 style around in field test mode (see pic)
