Just came across something interesting during AirPlay mirroring to my TV on iOS7 on a 4S - it appears the phone knows to use cellular data if its connected to a network without internet connectivity
Can anyone test to see if this functionality applies outside of the AirPlay context? Maybe by connecting to your wireless router and then unplugging the ethernet cable running from your router to your modem (so that your router has no internet connectivity), and then attempt to access a web site in Safari?

This functionality was included in a beta of iOS 6 but was dropped before release:

It would be a really helpful feature for people who use their iPhones in areas that have blanket wifi coverage, like college campuses. I connect to the campus wifi inside of classroom buildings, but when I'm walking around on campus my phone will attempt to connect to weak campus wifi signals emanating from different buildings, which cuts off my cellular data access.

AirPlay

I thought AirPlay was done over wi-fi, but every time I turn it on, my bluetooth comes on too. Are we also going to finally have bluetooth file transfer enabled? I noticed there's a place to allow apps to transfer files over bluetooth as well. I've been begging them for this, especially since I live in a place where that's how they share pictures and videos. And everyone here has Samsung devices, so they don't play friendly without bluetooth.

Spotlight is gone! Yeah!

Spotlight has NOT gone.

Pull down from halfway on your home screen. Voila, spotlight.

See attached.

Incase it hasn't been found, you can now swipe back through settings, ala safari 'back' function.

I think they need to work on the reminders app a little.

Seems to be less intuitive to add a reminder. In iOS 6 there was a little + sign, here you have to tap on a blank line...this I have no doubt will fox some folk.

Also if you swipe up and left, it bugs out. If you only have two reminder screens (Reminders and Scheduled) it bugs out. Add a third and the screens sit one on top of the other.

I usually get the message a saying my software is up to date. This just started a few hours ago.

I think it's just a general message saying it can't contact the update server. Any number of networking issues can be to blame.
Or it's a bug. File a report just to be safe.

Too bad we can't move it to a bug or problem thread.

is there a way to download or get panorama photos off the Internet and use them as a background?

or do you personally have to take the panoramas yourselves?

can't seem to find a way to save a picture as a panorama...they all go to camera roll

The 3 screen section on interfacelift.com works. They're just not quite tall enough.

Glad to finally be able to mark all emails as read.

It will go to the camera roll... But, if its a pano, the phone will auto detect and it will also reflect in the pano album...

So, you know that bug were if you delete a contact, it'll still show up listed as "other"? And there's not way to delete the entry ?
Is that finally squashed in ios 7?

The "other" contact will show up but if u click the "info" button you can delete from "recents list"

Apple Maps finally highlights main roads! (UK)

Plus fullscreen mode - no chrome at all

Able to set default navigation type (e.g. Mine set to walking)

Nice! Their maps of London have always had a certain undefinable quality of being difficult to read. Let's hope they see sense and start using Tube and other local railway symbols instead of that awful generic purple one!
