Open Safari in iOS 7. Scroll to the top of any web page. Grab the page near the top and drag down (as if you are continuing to scroll upwards but keep your finger on the screen). See your background image behind the page.

Move your phone around (with your finger still on the screen) and see it "parallax" (I have a panorama set ask my background image, tilting the phone pans the panorama left and right even behind Safari!).

Note that all of this also happens scrolling past the bottom of the page. Have no idea if this is a systemwide feature or just in Safari... (It does NOT do this under Messages or App Store...)

Is there a way of getting out of the dictionary in Safari after highlighting a word and selecting Define?

Because I sure as hell can't find it. Beyond quitting the app and reopening.

I wanted to ask before reporting a bug.

Please try it and confirm my findings.

It's happened again today... This is some of the BEST battery life I have EVER had on any iOS. I am using an iPhone 5. I do know I still have 25% left, but it's getting late and will update you later with my total usage stats.

I consider myself a heavy user... constantly checking feeds, emailing, streaming music, and pushing email. Flipping back and forth via wifi.

Have had the beta since day 1, battery life was a bit sketchy off the start but seems as if I've gotten the OS worked out. The only things I have OFF, are Bluetooth and some unnecessary location settings; specifically system services i.e. Compass Calibration, Location based iAd, and setting time zone.

Can't complain...

Can anyone show me a Push Notification -you know, that blue square dialog with blue and square buttons- in the brand new iOS7?

I'm feeling curious about that, because I know that has to be changed, but until now, I didn't see any image of an iOS 7 Push Notification...

Thank you!

EDIT: Just a couple of pages before, I found what I was looking for:

I will always prefer a thin and minimal over bike and contrasted.
Try having a bunch of folders in main and quickly telling how many new messages they might have as you are a scrolling through the list of folders. A very simple task in iOS 6 and befor, but so much harder on the eyes when the number is a small thin lightly colored one with no background in iOS 7. Minimalism? Definitely. Something that is actually better and useful? Nope.

Can anyone tell me if the Reader function still exists in Safari? I didn't notice it anywhere in the beta.

Yes it still exists, its the icon on the top left of this screenshot. Right under the signal dots.

Yes

I blocked one number as a test (plus the person was annoying me), and it blocked them in Messages, FaceTime and Calls all at once.

It's standard for anyone on iOS 7.

Your iPhone still receives calls/messages/facetimes from blocked people, it just doesn't tell you. :p

Thanks very much for the help, its much appreciated :)

Is this new?

Someone's going to tell me it was there before, but I was looking at the compass, and noticed the white dots indicating that there was a second page/screen. When I swiped, there were two circles overlapping with a number in the middle. It took me a while to realise that it's a spirit level!

What's clever is that, if you put it on any surface, it tells you in what direction and by how many degrees it's sloping. But if you want two surfaces to slope by the same amount and in the same direction, you can tap the centre on the first, and it sets it back to 'flat'. You can then go to the second surface and adjust it until it is also 'flat' (i.e. the same slope as the first surface).

That gets rid of yet another third party app off my phone!

Cheers,

Tiptopp

New feature.

A X/Y one too - There is a White/Black Line for back to front axis (Green/White when the side to side is 0 degrees)

It's great, thanks for finding that!

It's been reported a thousand times... I know I did.

To me if panorma's are still scrolling whilst not on the homescreen then its a waste of phone resources.
