I've been getting some nasty heat coming off the back of my 4S, even after using it only a couple minutes. iOS 7 is cooking this phone.

Some people have reported success with resetting network settings after a fresh install. And afterward, haven't had the heat issue.

----------

Just manually updated Evernote. After the install, there is a small blue dot next to the icon. Haven't noticed that before after an update. Is this a new feature?

Yes, it's new

I don't think this has been mentioned before but apparently Flyover's 3D rendering is a lot faster in this version. I don't know this personally (as I'm not running the beta) so maybe someone can confirm?

Not for me it's not. Even on WiFi on my 5, there are always big lags where the rendering is blank.

Like I said, I don't want to turn off iTunes Match or iTunes radio. I was wondering if there is a way to only turn off automatic downloads while not connected to wifi.

It seems like that should be an obvious feature. Hopefully they will include it in the final release.

There are four different automatic download toggles, one each for Music, Apps, Books and App Updates. The 'Use Cellular' option encompasses all of these including iTunes Match.
I agree it would be convenient to be able to select a cellular option for these individually, for example, allowing music to download automatically over 3G/LTE but App updates only over wifi.
Maybe/hopefully this will change in future betas :)

I don't think its up to speed on the old keyboard yet. Needs some improvements. I considered myself a pro iPhone typist and I have lost some speed.

The most irritating of them all is when using the new unified search field in safari. When I go to do a google search now I keep accidentally hitting the ".com" key that used to never be there.

the ".com" key is definitely a nightmare. I dont think I have typed in the box correctly yet.

Hope they get rid of the.com key in Safari now that they went to a unified search bar. Space bar is too small.

In Mail conversations no longer have the number in the grey box which makes it easier to spot threads. A light grey double carrot vs a single does not visually dilenate the distinction.

It seems like a lot of the new elements are so subtle-itized that you have to look for things that you normally would see more easily.

It just needs to be positioned better somehow, because it'll come in handy when I want to go to a specific website. However the majority of time I use that field it's to do a web search.

EDIT: Sorry for the duplicates. Safari insists on freezing everytime I post on macrumors. I reload the page and it works just fine, I don't know why it doesn't 'just work' the first time...

Its the same keyboard mate.

Not really. When you search in the dedicated search field in ios 6, there is no .com key, now they squeez both it, making the space bar way shorter. It's fine for the adress bar, since there is no need for a space.

Why are the app downloading bars still so thick and glossy...?

Here's one: When adding a Gmail account, you can now choose Contacts in addition to Mail, Calendars, and Notes. Previously you'd have to setup a separate CardDAV account for contacts.
