interesting! but i have two questions:

(1) it isn't showing calendar events in notifications. how do i get them to show up?
(2) the lock screen still turns off after a few seconds. how do i set it so that the lock screen stays on, and does not go dark?
(1) You can have reminders for calendar events appear in the notification section, but as far as just a general list of events happening today (not counting full day events) that can only appear in the today section using the calendar widget.

(2) The lock screen always worked that way, so it's not really any different than what it was like before. If you want things to stay up then you can unlock the phone, set it to never auto-lock and bring down the notification center and leave on that way.

This one works as a Timer or Stopwatch from the same widget.

Why is RadarScope listed? It does not have a widget.

RadarScope is a fabulous app. It doesn't have a widget though. Why is it listed on the first page under the weather section? I got excited for nothing.

I'm quite enjoying widget functionality in iOS8. I'm using quite a few (listed below), and while some are better than others, it has a lot of potential.

Having to go to the notification center to view them is a bit of a pain, but it's better than not having them at all. Hopefully Apple will continue to loosen the reins and let developers take full advantage.

Here is what I'm currently using:

Forecast+ - I like the 5 day forecast, accuracy seems to have gotten better
Fantastical - great to see the entire calendar, and the ability to see what's scheduled for any given day
Argus - simple step tracker
Lose It! - calorie log/tracker
Data Usage - great visual of cellular data usage for the period
ESPN - awesome way to keep track of my teams
Get Me Home Compass (from CityMapper) - it's more of a gimmick, but interesting
Launcher - got it before Apple banned it, but almost never use it
NYT News - don't like that it doesn't refresh automatically
Yahoo News - Unlike NYT, this one refreshes by itself. Pretty nice.
BrainyQuote - Today's Quote of the Day with a beautiful image
iTranslate - easy to use translator, and all done within the widget
Stocks - this is Apple's stock widget
Duolingo - this one is nothing special; hope they do something with it
LinkedIn - Who's Viewed You today
Bible - daily bible quote
SeatGeek - Upcoming events in my area with link to buy tickets
TVGuide - List of shows on tonight that are trending
Elevate - tracks performance in app
Top Chart Widget - just downloaded this last night. Haven't seen this one listed yet in this thread. Pretty cool. Can listen to songs by clicking on image.

Wow! I knew I had a lot, but I didn't realize I had that many. 20 is a lot.

Launcher Pro is coming back today! Apple has reconsidered! :D

Glad that it is back. Finally I can save quite some unnecessary home button clicks, like entering expenses or switching between Photos and messaging apps.

:p

Explain this workflow please. It seems interesting...

Those particular ones:

iCloud - Opens the document picker, lets me select something, and then use the Open In to pull it in wherever

Pasteboard - Takes whatever I have in my clipboard, and lets me put it wherever in iCloud Drive

Last Photo - Saves the last image that was added to my photos to iCloud Drive

Combine - Lets me combine screenshots together

I have this one on my iPad that gives me a Markdown formatted version of stuff from Safari, and I am playing with some other things on my iPod. I don't particularly need it on there, but it's fun since it can search through the metadata, etc.

But if you want to do those things outside the app, you have to do it through a shortcut that runs through Safari, or as a extension, or in something that supports URL schemes. Which is why Launcher Pro is exciting. And not just for Workflow, but for the other apps that support it. Because you can either have 20 different widgets that may do one or two things you want, or you can have the Launcher widget that you can customize with the exact things you want and only have buttons for those things.

Very well! Thanks

I never got the original. The free "launcher with notification center" app has a page in the app store but it can't be installed.
EDIT - IN USA
