I don't think it actually works. Check your Battery usage in a couple of hours after normal use, and you can see some apps are still registering background usage.

This because background refresh and "running in the background " are not the same thing. Under iOS there are rules to how long an app can still function when the background,. Background refresh allows some apps to wake back up to check for updates.

i saw

I saw a little bit, But have gone back to 8.4b4 so much better battery life

I hear ya. I'm sticking it out. Love the new features and font a lot.

But I am hoping that Apple will deliver the increased battery life in the Fall as promised with iOS9. iOS 8.4 had the best battery life EVER for me on my 6Plus (13-15 hours).

the font does look awesome. when i heard they were going to put the SF font in ios9 and OS 10.11, i wasn't too concerned either way, but damn it looks nice. A new beta with proper battery life can't come sooner...

yup. Hoping for next week. It happened before with iOS 7 (I think). But more realistically two weeks from now.

Did they fix the battery percentage skips yet? Ever since iOS 8 my percentage has gone from 61 to 59, 55 to 53, 31 to 29, 26 to 24, and 16% to 14%. Did they fix this minor issue yet? :)

I'm pretty sure this was fixed in 8.4 beta and I'm not seeing it in iOS 9 either.

I recall various posts earlier in the thread or other similar threads that people were still seeing the battery percentage skip happening in iOS 9 beta 1.

Hi, please help me, I'm driving crazy!!!
2 days ago I installed ios 9 in my iPhone, despite all the bugs we already know I'm not happy with one in particular but I haven't read anyone else with my same problem: In "searh" (from top to bottom or left to right) I can't find contacts, none of them. My contacts are in the contact app so it's not a problem of missing contacts but a problem that ios 9 doesn't show them if I search one. With others iOS I don't have the same issue. I use spotlight a lot to find contacts but in iOS 9 I can´t, anyone having the same issue? any odea to solve it? Please help me!!!

Quick question...you realize this is a beta, correct?

Go to Settings > General > Search and make sure Contacts is checked. Try rebooting your device as well.

Yes, I know it's a beta and has several bugs but the thing is that in other devices the issue I have is not present. I've seen other devices from my office mates and searching contacts work well, that's why I am couriois about it.
Yes, Contacts is checked and I have rebooted several times and I can't get it works.

Not sure what to tell you. It's a beta and features can be very spotty

Anyone else also lost all their iMessages after updating to iOS 9.0 beta? is there a solution on how to get them back?

I did restore from back up, and everything else shows up from pictures to contacts except for messages?

A friend of mine had the same problem and we didn't a way to fix it. Basically he lost iMessages sent to his phone number no to his mail address, those are still there.
