That's really weird because I updated to 9.0 beta 2 days ago and everything was fine then downgraded back to 8.3 because 9.0 was really buggy, today I updated back to 9.0 because my apple watch won't work with 8.3 and now my messages aren't showing up :(

I don't see any mention of it on here but I swear I saw a pic somewhere: can you put a folder in your iPhone dock now?

I have been experiencing a bug where sometimes after I disconnect from a wifi network, my cellular data won't work because it has "broken" the connection. Another user had the same issue and our workaround was to Reset Network Settings, and that has seemed to fix it. It's annoying but we reported the bug.

You can now choose image size from the top of an email. So that's pretty cool.

Request: Could someone please see if Mail supports Gmail aliases?

(I'm ready to be disappointed).

Tried 9.0 again tonight, but the drain was bad as I expected it still would be. Downgraded to 8.4 b4 in the meantime.

Search does not display all the contacts!! I have a lot of contacts and when I try to search through the search, some contacts are just not found. Can search them through contacts search but not the spotlight search! Anyone else with this bug?

I've spent some time going through this thread and while it seems like we all are experiencing very similar bugs, I have a few that I want to add to the list. There doesn't seem to be a similar place for watchOS so I'm adding that too at the bottom.

I strongly suggest you all submit bug reports through bugreport.apple.com

iPhone 6+ iOS 9 Beta 1
  1. Siri loads when using TouchID on the lock screen
  2. New Siri commands do not work (use case is reminders in Safari)
  3. Many common Siri functions like sending group texts is glitchy
  4. Maps, even when not being used, is a huge battery drain (32%)
  5. Maps requires redoing a search when panning around into different areas
  6. Searching in Spotlight does not pull up iTunes Match songs or any web results (doesn't even provide the option to search the web)
  7. The new spotlight page takes a few seconds to load instead of being instant.
  8. Suggested apps do not refresh
  9. New app switcher has low frame rate
  10. Camera crashes upon opening from lock screen
  11. Once Siri has translated the audio to text, the action is performed but the Siri screen does not close, making it impossible to interact with what it loads.
watchOS 2
  1. Bluetooth connection is extremely unstable and requires multiple reboots on both phone and watch to make work.
  2. Siri takes a long time to load using digital crown
  3. Apple Pay is glitchy and my card switches back and forth from being available to not available when using the watch (no change in the watch app)
  4. Taptic engine randomly stops working and requires hard restart
  5. Glances sometimes fail to fresh and require a hard restart
  6. Battery drain significant compared to previous versions of the OS
  7. Weather app thinks I'm in the South Pacific ocean
  8. Once Siri has translated the audio to text, the action is performed but the Siri screen does not close, making it impossible to interact with what it loads. Specific example is with text messages. When using Siri to send a new message, it is clearly visible that the messages screen has opened and the Siri screen does not go away.

Apologies if these have already been discussed but here's what i've noticed so far;

Safari - I can swipe to go back a page but not "forward" to the page i was previously on.
App switcher - Deleted apps from my phone via home screen, but can still open app via app switcher (if app wasn't closed prior to deletion)
Keyboard - Far too sensitive/freezes in email and safari, often i get .co.uk rather than a full stop or period.
Home Button - Doesn't wake phone on first press, and activates Siri too quickly when in an app/home screen.
Camera - occasionally the screen goes black when recording slow-mo videos at 240fps

My device - iPhone 6 (gold) 64GB in UK.

Yes, the issues with battery percentage are still there, and yes, in both of them, 8.4 b4 and 9 b1.
I have installed both of them.
Sorry not for me. I haven't seen that percentage issue in neither 8.4 or 9.

My iPad Air 2 is insanely hot. I actually think if you touched it for to long you would be burned. I tried to take the temp with the fever forehead temp taker and this is the result.

HI means the temperature is maxed out?
That means sometimes iPad Air 2 temperature will reach over 40 degrees centigrade? :O

I just post here to report a maybe reported bug.
If your phone screen is turned off in landscape mode, when you want to open the screen, you may see "swipe to turn off" screen. You need to tap cancel. And if you play the song, lock screen will only display song artwork. You can still unlock your phone using Touch ID or passcode, though.

Yeah HI is their abbreviation for High. It's just not meant to read temps that high I guess. And yes it is for sure over 40°C
So this becomes really dangerous for daily use, right?
This is not just a prototype software. I seriously doubt why Apple seed this version rather than a potentially better one? They think developer could tolerate every single bug, especially power issue?

Yeah I'm actually worried my battery may suffer permanent damage. Also I have been wondering why the iPad hasn't done the "its to hot, put in a cool place out of sunlight message". Maybe that doesn't yet working in iOS 9?

Maybe this not so beta version hasn't implement this hint yet!
I tried to think Apple could do great job on software development and I paid all my wish to this iOS 9 and OS X El capitan.
Looks like I am WRONG again.

Your best bet is downgrade iOS back to 8.4 beta 3, not 4, since that version could handle battery properly.

Probably released due to a deadline. The battery life has been erratic on a 6+. Sometimes it wasn't so bad and sometimes it was really bad. Try again after a few betas. Once we get half way through the cycle it will become clear how good it will be. Even in this state there is a lot to like in the improvements.

Battery was pathetic yesterday, but today seems much better. Yesterday, I had to plug it in twice as it went below 20%. The phone was running hot even in standby.
Today, I charged up to 100% about an hour ago and it is still at 100%. I did not really use it for any thing though. Phone is not running hot today. Let's see if today is better than yesterday.
And i have not turned off any of the Search options.

But I still do not get any of the proactive Siri stuff. Don't know if this is even going to be supported in India.

Have to take back this. It only takes time to move from 100 to 99. After that it is nearly a free fall. I tried for 2 more days and i had to plug it in 2 times a day minimum. I moved back to 8.3 and battery backup is back to normal.

Anyhow, I am not complaining about the battery backup in ios 9 beta as it is a beta and this is very much expected from a beta. I have been using betas since ios 4 and have seen this almost each time.

That said, this beta was probably the most stable in terms of crash, reloads, resprings etc when compared to earlier beta 1's. In fact most of my 3rd party apps work pretty fine.

So for people still considering whether to install this or not, above might be useful info.
