On an iPad Air 2. Asking Siri to open settings results in Siri saying "a problem has occurred". Messages opens fine.

Along the battery line, it took me five hours to charge from dead to 93% with an iPad charger....

image.jpg Markup on a word document doesn't work on my Air 2. Remains like this, nothing ever appears.

I'm getting.

• Unable to login to download certain apps - keeps asking for apple ID and password repeatedly

• Taking a photo from the camera app by opening it anyway will often crash the whole phone or app

• Phone calls often fail

• Phone calls will not hear me for 30+ seconds

• Apple Pay will keep popping up on the lock screen

• Updating apps can sometimes never start

• Messages can often send but not show up until I return back to the thread

• Phone will just crash and reboot

• Clicking the home button once, quickly, instead of bringing me home will open Siri (very annoying)

• Emails will show another email in the body and then quickly switch to the email I'm actually looking at

•• NEW ••

• When listening to music, the music controls will disappear on the lock screen (using Spotify)

Doubtful. They need to implement all of these bugs fixes developers are finding. We may be on Beta 1 but internally, they are always ahead. Probably around Beta 3 to 4 already.
No way Apple is on beta 4 internally. They are 1 or 2 betas ahead. Otherwise it would defeat the purpose of squashing bugs through testing. There's no way Apple can do all the testing done with the beta program on their own. And the iOS software they demo in the keynote is specifically built for demo purposes, hence why they follow a script during the live demo.
I think to that they just a few betas ahead

1. This is a Developer beta. Its sole purpose is for developers to test new API's in their own software. Nothing more.

2. Apple has said the release version with have better battery life.

3. No 3rd party app is currently optimized to run on iOS 9 so one or more apps could be causing trouble

Anyone who is experiencing battery issues should test their device in a controlled environment with a fresh install and no 3rd party apps installed.
I agree with 1 and 3, but as for 2 - Apple claimed a one hour improvement and 3 hours with batter saver. But of course, this is only a beta.

Just for that I'm thinking about downgrading back to 8.x, every freaking time I press the home button to unlock the phone, siri is activated.

That's not accurate. At all.
Yeah, I'd say it's pretty accurate.

As of fourth quarter 2014, the WhatsApp penetration rate among U.S. mobile internet users was eight percent. In contrast, European countries had far higher adoption rate with Spain being ranked highest with 70 percent of mobile internet user usage penetration. Overall, South Africa was ranked first with a 78 percent WhatsApp adoption rate.

Even Australia where I've not seen it in the wild once, has double that at 16%.

This is where I'm at now.
I've had an above average day today (compared to my usual).. On iPhone 6. Using mainly Safari, Whatsapp, Facebook and Spotify.
Compared to yesterday where it lost 85% of my charge in 90 minutes on standby. I couldn't be more confused by this..

That pretty bad battery life.

I'm on a 5S, DFU install with no back used.

Then what does the populace use mostly? iMessage?

I just noticed that in Find my iPhone, when you click on any of your devices, there is small battery indicator in upper right corner of device you are checking, can someone check if this is also in iOS 8.x available?

From the looks of it, that is the battery level of that particular iPhone! Wow that is some info... although I don't know what good would it do to spook the **** out of that guy when you tell him, "Hey your battery is running low, put it on charge!" But yes, any info is good info. Good work Apple.
