Yeah, that's been there a long time. Perhaps even since FMF debuted. I know it was in iOS7 at least. My wife left hers at school, but the location was pinpointed to a nearby McDonalds instead and we thought it may have been stolen. So we kept monitoring the battery life as we pinged it.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but notes also has audio recordings support.
And now when looking at a photo in Photos you can go back by just swiping down on it

From the looks of it, that is the battery level of that particular iPhone! Wow that is some info... although I don't know what good would it do to spook the **** out of that guy when you tell him, "Hey your battery is running low, put it on charge!" But yes, any info is good info. Good work Apple.
Wouldn't you only see your devices on find my iPhone?

I somehow missed the new gesture in Photos, but it's AWESOME. Good find.

The swipe down gesture also works in Messages when looking at attachments. Brilliant especially on a 6Plus.

On my iPad Air 2, I can't find the Wallet app and none of my music appears the music app even though I'm an iTunes Match subscriber. Haven't upgraded my iPhone 6 Plus.

Turn off iTunes Match and then back on. If that doesn't work, sign out of iTunes account and back in.

Mavericks yes but iOS 7 didn't boost battery life

Although Apple always touts battery and performance improvements with every iOS release, I think this is the first time Apple has specifically promised an extra hour of battery life from any iOS release so I'll take them at their word.
Do they talk about battery life when they release a new iOS version? Usually it's talked about when they refresh the iPhone hardware, not the software. I think may be the first time they've committed to increasing battery life by optimising iOS.

Apple has said on NUMEROUS occasions "better battery life" going back years, and only the 6 plus has delivered that due to a bigger battery. Not once has tweaked software given better battery life. Ios 8 beta 1 didn't run down 99% battery while note being used. Nor 7, nor 6, nor 5 etc...
In terms of hardware, yes. They've never talked about better battery life by optimising the software for OLDER iPhones.

I don't have iOS9 beta 1 (because I don't have a dev account) but is there any issues with iMessages ? (especially after you turn Airplane mode)

I figured out that two options needed to be turned on to get MM to work on my iPad 3 - the more-obvious Music>iCloud Music Library option, and the less-obvious iTunes & App Store>Automatic Downloads>Music option.

After the install of OS9 on the iPad, I activated the first option and signed in, and some of my library started loading. I then switched to the second option and turned it off (it was on by default); one of the artists I own records of had 6 of the 20-odd albums load, and that was it - many of the other artists I have multiple recordings of also didn't fully load, but I didn't worry about it. I read your post, toggled on the second option, and my library fully loaded in short order.

I also recommend toggling one or both options; I toggled off the first option, then toggled it on after a couple of minutes - when I toggled it on, the "Genius" option appeared above it, whereas it had not shown up previously.

Point taken lol

I was actually only referring to the chap whos battery 99% while sleeping... Im actually a straight enough guy to even say the battery life on my ipad with ios 9 has been superb. Even though my earlier comments wouldnt suggest so lol

I discovered that on the Music App, Playlists "tab" there is a popup at the top middle "All Playlists...". Switch off "Music Available Offline". All my music then appeared.

So, between us, it's more like the "just keep punching buttons until it works" method... :D

An update on my two devices and battery life. My takeaway is that Apple's new search Home page is killing it - literally - on some, but not all devices. A friend of mine has had similar experiences with battery drain as mine on her iPhone and iPad.

I gave up on my iPhone 6 yesterday and DFUed back to 8.3. I had the "Home Screen" battery drain as others had posted - disabling the Nearby Apps and Siri and most of the Search (Spotlight) didn't change the precipitous drop.

My iPad 3 (VZW LTE w/ UL data) is a different matter. I've used a few GPS-enhanced apps - Maps, Google Maps, and INRIX, DLed and installed a couple of dozen apps (Google, Adobe, Amazon, etc.), updated a couple of apps, surfed the web and checked/read/composed email, and used Newsify (connected to Feedly/Instapaper - all over cellular (no wifi). 4 days later with no charging time, about 6 hours of use - there's about 78% of battery life left, and the iPad's never been warmer than room temperature.

My battery seems to have stabilized. It is now at 21% with standby time 24hrs36min and talk time 5hrs23min. Removing traffic conditions widget from notifications seems to have improved my battery life.

I use iPhone 5S

My 6Plus battery has stabilized somewhat in the past couple of days. Most used apps were Tweetbot, Facebook, Messages, Safari and Podcasts. Screen was between 25-50%.

Going to try that and see if it helps on my 6+.

Very pleased with the performance in general. The Metal API incorporation is a phenomenal improvement in my opinion, uses the hardware like it should. That seems to be where they are getting the "1 hour" increase in battery life with ios9.
