Swiping left to reveal the new interactive Siri or whatever it is still doesn't work for me. All I get is a blank screen with a search bar on top. In older betas I remember there was a lot more info that would pop up on this screen.

Not sure if this is an issue that's already spotted (it's not on page 1 of this thread anyway).

If you get a notification on the lock screen, swipe from right to left and tap the x to hide the notification then the notification transitions upwards. At the point the transition ends, I have a white horizontal line that appears. Even if the device goes to sleep, the line is still there when I awaken it. It goes when I unlock the device.

My iPad crashes when I get an iMessage to the lock-screen and do not respond immediately.
Going back to 8.4...

Anyone else worried the Keyboard Gestures on iPhone were removed purposely? Seems odd all the iPhone gestures are not there but the iPad still works fine. Sad because that was my favorite feature too.
I am. That was such a sweet feature and I really hope it actually makes it to the GM. Odd that some stuff removed from iPhones are there on iPad though.

We accept glitches and stutters here and there. However it is necessary to keep an overall interface consistency and keep performance at a relative level. That doesn't mean each beta, performance must improve, but at least, don't drop too fast to let testers notice it with no effort. Battery life is the same. I think few testers will say "my phone can use only 10 hrs after installing this beta. Before that I could use 12 hrs. This is not acceptable". But if battery life is halved, or even worse, this is a real problem.

Obviously, beta software is for TEST propose and should not be used as daily drive. But if performance and battery life drops and rises like roller coaster, this would not be good.

Nope, you're wrong.
You're describing how you think beta testing should work.
We are telling you how beta testing does work.
If you don't like it then you know the solution.

I went ahead and submitted a bug report. Hopefully they'll say whether or not it was meant as an iPad only feature. I sure hope they say it's just a bug.

They're working for me. I have an Authy and Weather Widget added.

Did you do an OTA update? And those widgets were previously already there?

I still have widgets I previously had, but when I install new apps to be used as widgets... It doesn't show the "new widgets" below in the Today's tab. I have an iPad that's on iOS 9, I wonder if that's the problem..

It was OTA from a fresh install of B2 right before the OTA came out. I hadn't installed any apps or such at that point.

Is this new? I dont remember Handoff using my own iTunes from my Mac.
Idk what the icon does, when i swipe it up it only uses Apple Music so i dont see any sense behind it.

Sorry for such messed comments.

Each beta has different areas of focus. Sometimes they get better, sometimes they get worse. What Apple is working on internally can be different than what we are given in the beta versions. That's why you'll see some builds with broken features, while others are fixed. When iOS 9 will be ready for Public Beta release we should see some significant improvement, but even then, it's still a BETA. Shift your expectations accordingly.

You know what I wish they would bring back and I don't understand why they ever got rid of it? When you are watching a video the little bar with the scrubber used to show the progress of the buffering going on so you could see in real time how much of the video was loaded. I haven't seen it since iOS 7 I think. Now it's just solid all the way across when watching videos (through safari) and you don't know how much is actually loaded!

I did a clean install on my iPad Air 2 and once I logged into iCloud I got a prompt that asked me if I wanted to have the iCloud Drive app added to my home screen. I didn't see that in beta 2.

has anyone else had a problem with the app store requiring you to type in your email and password EVERY time you do anything? it's doing it to me for updates/downloading apps I already own/free apps as well as paid apps and it's incredibly annoying
If you hit cancel when that screen pops up (then try to download again) and it will work without you having to type in the info again. Did it for me as I was downloading some apps yesterday and the cancel trick worked really well.

Ohh boy. Apparently public beta *might* hit tomorrow so if I can get my hands on that, I'm a little anxious to see what I'm getting myself into. I was sort of hoping by beta 3 things would be better, but these comments suggest otherwise. How does Apple make a new release with "Foundation" and "Performance" in mind, but everything is still broken this late into things? Usually things are smoothing out quite a lot by now, not staying the same or going downhill...

Maybe it's because they had to work hard to incorporate News and Apple Music? So after this to the end, the real bug-squashing, performance-enhancing, stability-improving magic will happen :)

They're already been doing bug-squashing, performance-enhancing, etc changes. We just don't always see all of those in the betas released to us.
