It seems Apple have made a update to the Music app with no-one else knowing.

The Music app on iOS 9 beta had several UI issues. Alignment issues, black text on dark backgrounds, the Beats 1 playlists were displayed in an odd fashion.

Now, although I don't think it's perfect (up to iOS 8.4 standards), but it's much better. Take a look.

The music app appeared to show songs are in storage when going to general about.. But not really stored on the phone.... Is this because it's caching when playing?

It's very hard to make purchases on App Store, even free ones. Keeps asking for user/pass over and over again. What am I doing wrong?

Going into Settings and logging out and back in to your iTunes Account *can* help with this. Definitely something I'd like fixing in Beta 4

I also can't offer comment on whether it's US-only as I haven't tested my setup outside the US - I bring a sat phone for calling when I travel outside the US, it's just easier for me...

Issues:
  • Volume buttons do not activate camera shutter
  • Status bar appears too late when going to the home screen from an app (pop-in).
  • Left swipe Spotlight Search bar misaligned - too high (Seen on 6 Plus) - align correctly if doing search, and after that, all goes normal.
  • Camera icon on iPhone lock screen missing but present on iPad (iPhone 5, 5s, 6 camera icon is there)
  • Not possible to remove connect tab in music tab using restriction. If you had removed previously, disabling restrictions does not bring back Connect.
  • AirPlay doesn't work under certain circumstances.
  • On Messages, tapping on a thread makes the text box background flash gray for a second before going to normal [carried over from b1 and b2]
  • Unable to delete past iCloud backups [carried over from b1 and b2]. This may cause iCloud backups to fail entirely for not enough space even on older iOS versions or to be unable to turn on iCloud backup at all.
  • Weather app - Days of the week text appears to be slightly cropped off on the left as well as the times of the day. (on Tuesday and Wednesday, the cut off piece is added to the end of the word)
  • In settings app, sometimes title and back button description will display incorrect information, and simply tapping on that back button will do nothing, since current item is not what back button description indicate. What's worse, sometimes title bar will not work properly since there is no back button and correct description.
  • If reminder is set based on context, and reminder content is to remind user browsing a certain webpage, previously in beta 2, there would be a search icon followed with reminder itself, now there is only a blank icon.
  • Restoring from iCloud Backup restores apps but it doesn't restore any user app data. (Fixed since the release of Public Beta, was a server issue)
  • Battery life goes horrible again, presumably. Tested on iPhone 6 / iPhone 6 Plus, but battery performance is simply horrible. Such horrible performance seems affect iPad as well.
  • Tapping on Music under storage in settings crashes the settings app. And there is no "Music" label on that item.
  • Siri for texting isn't working after switching keyboard to another language. Just sits there and iPhone randomly starts to vibrate moments later
  • iPhone 6 - Siri will vibrate, but will not play the distinctive sound. It will, however, play the sound when headphones are connected or connected to a bluetooth speaker.
  • 3G / 4G internet access disconnects randomly. Requires a network reset to fix it when it occurs. (Not an issue on iPhone 6)
  • Random text message disappear in Facebook Messenger. A blank text bubble is shown. Restarting the app or the phone does not help. EDIT: Reinstalling the app seems to fix the problem.
  • "Quick reply" of Messages from notification center freezes (randomly perhaps?). Pressing the home button does not help. Only a hard reset can solve the problem.
  • EE UK Wi-fi calling not working.
  • Mail notifications will not clear in the Notification Center - tapping the X clears the list, but then they all reappear.
  • Occasionally battery indicator percent number will jump. In the most recent test, battery percentage jump from 8 to 20 when plugged to Mac (any power supply source should be OK), and jump down to 16 after being unplugged. This one seems carried from B1 to this beta.
  • Randomly (happen on iPhone 6 Plus once until now), lock screen will show nothing but two indicators of CC and NC, "slide to unlock", and a camera button. Playing music and stopping playback does not solve this issue.
  • Not using the phone for a little bit requires the phone to need to be re-activated.
  • Whatsapp call - Whatsapp crashes upon starting talking.
  • When adding an event to calendar by clicking on a underlined date in a text message and selecting "Create Event", the keyboard will not open, and the event cannot be created without a title (on iPhone, works fine on iPad)
  • Occasional animation failure upon starting the Phone app on iPhone 6 -> weird green effect with phone logo in background.
  • Asking Siri to enable/disable any settings (Turn on Do Not Disturb, Turn on Airplane Mode, Turn off Bluetooth) results in a "Content Not Available" message and no changes take place.
  • Search button in Podcasts app does not load. Also redirects to podcasts from the web or iTunes Store app does not load the podcast in the store.

Changes:
  • Two fingered keyboard gestures removed for all products except the iPad.
  • Apple Music is now available in the Music app, along with new icon.
  • Adds News app (Set Region under Settings > General > Region to United States and reboot to show the app, except China)
  • New Selfies folder in Photos app
  • New folder for screenshots in Photos app
  • Stream High Quality option in Music Settings
  • Folders on iPad now use a 4x4 layout
  • Adds support for all applications in Spotlight Search
  • New icons for horizontal swipe options in Mail app.
  • New Siri icon under Settings > General > Restrictions
  • Battery consumption page items now correctly aligned when sub item isn't displayed.
  • New wording for Suggested Apps toggles in iTunes and App Store settings
  • New icon in Usage screen to toggle additional usage details in minutes
  • App download/update progress now correctly shows on the homescreen
  • Maps no longer crashes when selecting Transport (London)
  • Maps now offers suggestions for quicker routes even after navigation has begun.
  • UIProgressView no longer drains away (was present in b1 and b2)
  • Clearing notifications seems to work again when using the clear all "x"
  • App back button fades after 2 minutes
  • Fixed Apple Remote App crashing on selection of Apple TV.
  • Proactive page news section link will only respond when News app is activated. Clicking the link will bring user right to news app to read it. In beta 1, users will be redirected to safari in order to read it.
  • Music app now can create playlists normally, even if there is no existing playlist available on the device. Unfortunately, it is still not possible to "create playlist based on selection", like how iTunes does.
  • Health App-Blood Pressure:Recorded high/low pressures now show as arrows versus circles.
  • New assistive touch setting. You can now add/remove pop up toggles. Leaving only one home button toggle will create an on screen home button.
  • The Contacts app now shows the contact that is associated with you at the top of the list. Image
  • New 30 second auto lock option.
  • Apple Pay active in the UK
  • Pressing the 'return' key in Messages no longer sends the message.
