This feature was changed back in iOS 5 or iOS 6 I believe, as people were getting upset about the destructive video editing...
I've been able to save over the existing video (or save as new) when trimming videos in iOS 7 and in iOS 8 (having just done it as recently as a couple of weeks ago).

Just tried on 8.4 on iPad and iPhone. You only get the option to save as new. I haven't been able to save over for a long time. Can't remember when it changed.

It gets rid of the 'trim original' option when iCloud photo library is on. Not sure if it's a bug or some weird design, but I want it back!

Hi,

Sometimes when my iPhone goes to sleep it doesn't "wake up" when I press any button. The screen remains black and the only workaraound is to hard reset with Power+Home....

If I press and hold the Home button I can hear Siri working, and if I ask something it answers, so the thing is the screen is not booting up.

Have you anyone notice this behaviour with iOS 9 beta??

Thank you

That also happened with me on the iPad Air. Had to hard reset it, and Siri was also working, but only the first time I tried it.

Anyone getting seemingly random Lock Screen app icons on the bottom left of the screen? For example, I'd be at home and the Tweetbot or Snapchat icon would appear on my lock screen, even though I have no notifications for either app. I can't seem to find a reason why the icons are displaying leading me to think its random and most probably a bug. :|

It's not a bug. It's the new proactive feature.

Yeah this can be a bit scary if your not familiar with proactive, easy to think it's a virus or something creepy taking over your phone without your knowledge, I saw this too on the public beta and at first I was like what the heck is that small icon since I was not expecting it and wasn't until later when I read about all the new features in iOS9.
