iOS 9.0 Beta 3 Bug Fixes and Changes

my iHandy Alarm Clock has been screwed up since iOS 9 Beta. I was able to have my own music to wake me up...first morning after iOS 9 Beta install, it went off, I hit snooze and the time froze and didn't go off again...lucky I wasn't late for work. It will work with the apps' preloaded sounds, but not using my music. Battery life is terrible. I've been getting TONS of postmaster@mac.com delivery notification failures about emails I never sent...so frustrating. To go along with that, now iCloud is asking for my email to get my mail...I put in my password and it says it's verification failed...I know my password. There are some decent features and Find Friends is back, and I have no intention to use News, Feedback, and the Watch app (yes, I know Watch was on the iOS 8 update) because I'll never own the Watch. I wish Apple would give us the option to delete the apps they provide with iOS, wastes space. We can always load them later if we want. I like the font on iOS 9, much easier to read. I also with they'd go away from this flat, bright look...some things are so hard to see and read. Ever look at the Health app? Why do they use the light colors because you cannot read the white font...I'm done on my soapbox for now :)

Anyone noticed that "Hey Siri, turn on Do Not Disturb" actually does not work anymore? Says Content not available.

Can I get confirmation that it isn't just me?

Just tired it. I'm also seeing this. Seems none of the settings are working with Siri.

Yep just tried those and no luck. What is interesting that on "Turn on Airplane Mode", Siri responds saying "I will stop working if you turn on Airplane mode. Are you sure?" to which if I say "Yes" she will respond "OK" but same Content Not Available message appears.

Thanks for confirming.

It's only available in the public betas and for the sole purpose of giving testers the ability to report bugs. It honestly makes it so easy to report bugs (compared to the bug reporting website) and even collects the necessary crash/system logs and attaches them to your report automatically. I really recommend using it to report things that you don't think are right.

Out of curiosity, before you knew it's functionality,
what did you think the 'Feedback' App was for?

Well happy first time beta then.

The feedback app is part of the profile you installed to give your phone access to beta builds OTA.

When you find bugs you report them through the feedback app to help make the OS better. (Maybe catch bugs they missed internally.)

Volume not working on YouTube app!

This beta started out great but as time goes by things are starting to break. At this point beta 2 was more stable on my iPhone 6.

Probably a YouTube bug which Google is not obligated to fix until iOS 9 is out.

I found the News App to also be hit or miss, when it worked it was great but sometimes it would just show the spinning wait wheel and not load. I also found a bug in the News App, whenever a news link had a video it would play fine but it would only work in portrait mode, it would not turn to landscape, so I used the Feedback app and told them.

I'm tempted to re-try the public beta again only because it felt like getting a whole new phone with iOS9 can't wait for the official release.

I was getting old news stories in the News app. Got stories about Lightning goalie Ben Bishop being uncertain for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals which was a month ago.

I just put the public beta on my 4S, and I must say - I'm impressed

It runs very smooth, a few stuttering frames here and there, there is an annoying "delay" when you press an app

But other wise, going from screen to screen, power saver mode, general fluidity within menus and when texting, all feel much better than 8.4

There were those who had negative impressions of iOS 9 on the 4s, but I am pleasantly surprised. It can only get better too, which is very positive!

Not sure if this app opening delay is a bug or not, but it is annoying. Same thing on my 5s albeit to a slightly lesser degree. If apple can get rid of this delay, this might be the best running "flat" design iOS on the 4s

(I went from 7.1.2, to 8.4, to 9 today to test them out and compare the 3.....so far 7.1.2 was the best, followed by 9 pb, and 8.4 was pretty terrible)

I rebooted and both voice to text and YouTube app volume started working again however voice to text has gone down since. YouTube volume still working but who knows how long.

Strange bug made more so by the fact it obviously isn't affecting everyone.

This feature was changed back in iOS 5 or iOS 6 I believe, as people were getting upset about the destructive video editing...
