Hmm. I'm still seeing terrible battery life on my 6 Plus.

When I upgraded to the GM, I reset all settings. I haven't done that since I upgraded to beta 1, but everything seems normal here battery wise. I'll keep an eye on it.

Maybe I'll do that when I switch to the iOS 9 release today. Although I've heard it's related to EE SIM cards now which will only be fixed by a carrier update.

I hope they update for you soon!

Battery and performance on par with 9.0 GM (which I tried for a couple of days ago) on my 6 Plus - same delay opening apps, same heavy feeling on keyboard, etc.

People who say both 9.0 and 9.1 run smooth need to either downgrade to 8.4.1 to remind themselves of what performance is, or do a side by side comparison with another phone.
You either need to factory default or get a replacement iPhone.
9.1 is hands down smoother than any before including any version of 8.
I am now finally able to use reduce motion to off
And
Set my backgrounds to perspective
My phone 6 plus is still smooth now.
Before I would toggle and leave them in opposite settings to get my phone smooth.

I always do clean installs.

So my 6 Plus that runs flawlessly on 8.4.1 has to be replaced due to bad software optimization on 9.0GM and 9.1 DP1?

I am only talking about 9.1
9 any beta was bad.
There are a bunch of us saying like me, and only a few talking like you.
I always felt iOS 8 sluggish.
Sooooooo.......

I wish Words with Friends wouldn't lock up on both devices, but I'm sure developer has to update this app. It happens on both my devices, since 9 beta 3 and even the GM. It plays for while, but locks up. I can restart it and it works, but eventually the board will lock up again.

I agree. I think 9.1 beta 1 is real good. I look forward to the next beta.

Battery life on this version is incredible for me. Running a 6+ here, I can charge it alternative nights now. Back on PB3 I was barely making it to bed with battery left.

Quick question:
I have 9.1 PB running with no problems, is it recommended to install the final iOS 9 or not? Do i miss some features or similiar if using the beta program?

That's true, but will i use PBs forever, as long as i have configured my iPhone for the beta program or will i get the final versions as well?

My iPad 3rd gen battery life is worse than ios 9 db5 iphone 6+ battery life seems same or just a little bit worse. I usually get 7-9 hours of usage.

Hi! I'm new here (but following the forums since the first iOS 9.1 beta), and just signed up to share my experience with the battery on my 6 Plus with 9.1 beta (way better than 9.0 GM and previous betas)

Interesting. Re installed, set it up as new and battery life is superb again. This was after many different adjustments in the settings etc. Last Friday night it went from 100% to 35 or so. Same sort of usage time last tonight after the re install and the iPad, 100 to 70.

Happy bunny now.
