Exactly. First of all, apps are paused. They aren't left running. Second, if they are taking up too much RAM, they are shut down automatically when more RAM is needed. Pretty much as a result, closing or deleting apps won't ever really affect performance or battery life. I don't get why people can't wrap their heads around this. Apple has even said you don't need to close apps from the app switcher all the time, and they've never mentioned anything related to too many installed apps causing issues.

I actually like the blur and transparency. I just hate that it stutters and lags and has weird quirks all the time. If they had all this eye candy running at 60FPS with little to no UI bugs, I would love it. However, it isn't that way. I'm not really saying I preferred the iOS 6 design, I just preferred the solid performance. You never got keyboards popping up in the wrong orientation, you never got awful frame rate issues, skipped animations, a weird pixellated and black and white spotlight search, the spotlight search bar appearing too high up/overlapping the status bar, etc etc etc. it worked smoothly, and as expected, every. Time. I miss that, not the green felt or general design language.

cuz some apps do continue to run in the background. Facebook i am looking at you. Unless i can see what is still running i will keep on shutting them down

Anyone else not got the OTA update. I didn't get b4 OTA and ended up downloading from the dev site and manually updating but that is a bit of a faff to let it set up the phone again. It just doesn't pick it up and I have tried restarting the phone, moving between wifi and 4g etc.

Here are my two videos. At least 720p@60fps.

iPad Air

iPhone 6

Compared to iPad, iPhone 6 is buttery smooth. The more noticeable minor stutters on iPhone are in Spotlight and scrolling in applications. On iPad Air... well you can see how bad it is without pointing fingers.

Buttery smooth without assistive touch bro, turn it on and try again

Still getting issues with AirPlay. When I lock my phone it cuts off the video. Really frustrating not being able to lock your phone whilst I watch a video!!

not talking about lag but the battery on my iPhone 6 seems to be bad on beta 5. 3 hours of usage (most is 56 mins of Twitter and 52 mins of Safari) and i am already down to 44 %

Why when submitting feedback via the Feedback app does it not list the current build numbers?

Ran into an issue last night where I couldn't send SMS messages on LTE until I turned off LTE in Cellular settings and turned it back on. Tried resetting network settings before that and it didn't help either.

Anyone else run into that issue?

The full screen music player is seriously messed up. For example, open Music, to your albums list, and open multi-tasking. Works fine, should render normally, and it removes the signal bars and everything else across the top like every other app in multi task view, right? OK, now bring up the full screen music player, and all of that goes to ****. It renders at about 30fps when multitasking, and for whatever reason does not remove the signal/status/time at the top. Put the full screen music player away and it's back to normal. This was a problem on the very first 9.0 beta and still hasn't been fixed, along with that stupid settings alignment bug. Yes, these have been reported to Apple numerous times.

I think at this point we need someone really knowledgeable in user interface software design coding to explain how & why stuttering creeps in here and there & just what could be the reasons that Apple has consistently failed to solve the issue in subsequent iOS releases.
Seems like they resolve those issues, just typically not in X.0 releases.

What bug? Opening past airplane mode? That happens on iOS 8.4.1. It simply centering on the general tab. Don't think it's a bug.
Why wouldn't it be a bug? Why wouldn't an app open to the top like other apps would by default?

Copy from a website in Tweetbot 4 (using UIwebview) does not work. Has anybody had any issue with this? Not sure if it's a Tweetbot issue or iOS 9.1 issue.
Can somebody else try to copy text from a website opened in Tweetbot and paste somewhere else?

Thanks!

Like I said I believe it is opening to center focus on the General tab. Most commonly used area I would imagine. Don't get me wrong, I agree with you. But this remaining unchanged in passed OS's so I am guessing it's not a bug.

I mean I guess there's that possibility, but there's more against it than for it. I also don't think that General is the most used section overall--there are plenty of options there, but I don't think many typical users often use it that much.
